My new favorite is stacking the letters and changing the height of every other letter. This looks clean and adds an extra dimension.

1. The first file (Alphabet 3D Printed Keychain_All Items_V2) includes everything you need. After bringing it into your slicer, right-click "split/into objects," then move around, cut and paste each letter and hinge until you get what you want. I also added each individual letter just in case you needed it that way. Most slicers now offer a text prompt but don't offer the hinges.

When you add or drop in the STL file, some slicers will prompt: "The object from file 'Letter, etc.' is too small and may be in meters or inches. Do you want to scale to millimeters?" You should click "YES". Each letter should start out 8mm tall.

Ensure they are oriented so the letters are facing upward

1. Drop in a connecting bar or hinge t, connecting each number or letter, and assemble as needed. Scale the "basic bar" so all characters are connected if you want to make it small and fixed in place. Add the hinge portion if you want to make it articulate and move; there are several sizes to pick from, as each letter has different spacing.

2. Scale as needed: 50-75% works well for a small keychain, 100% for a small articulating toy size, or scale to fit your printer bed if making a sign. It's best to select all the components and assemble them so they scale proportionally, especially with the added hinges.

3. To make your statement pop, add a color change on the layer above the hinge. Print in place without .

4. Print in any material, but TPU is the best to ensure it doesn't break with heavy wear and tear. Increase wall layers if you need to reinforce your hinge on PLA or PETG.
