3D model description
This toy is a sort of modular toy with different configurations to choose from. Thereβs a solid middle piece with a chamber that you can put some catnip in as well as one with holes for treats to fall out with some batting effort from your cat. You could also leave it empty to use as a batting wobbly toy.

3D printing settings
The first treat version I printed was kind of easy for the treats to pop out so I moved the holes higher and shrunk them. Iβm including the original version as βeasyβ. I use Temptation treats in mine.
There are three lids:
One with vented holes for catnip with a little hole compartment for a toy topper.
One with just a hole compartment for a toy topper.
And one thatβs completely solid.
I made the toy topper from a piece of filament that I set on my printer bed when it was heated to 80ΒΊ and then carefully molded into a bendy shape. I glued it into the lid hole and glued a tinsel pom pom onto the top. Before I added the topper on, Zuko was playing with it without the topper, so Iβd say thatβs completely optional.
The base needs to be heavy if you want it to tip back up. Thereβs an open tubular chamber in it that stores 19 pennies for weight. Originally I printed it with 15% infill and it was slow to rock back up, so I re-printed it with 60% infill and it pops up a lot faster.
The toy measures around 3x3x3.5".
I used a layer height of .2.
Base: I used 4 walls and 60% infill
Middle and lids need to be lighter: 10% infill - two walls
Print lids upside down, no
Middle pieces - print in the orientation they will sit, I used s underneath but painted them on so they werenβt touching any threads. No s are needed in the treat holes.
Base - print upside down so the round part portion is a dome and you wonβt have s touching the round surface. Paint s on the very edges around the thread section but far enough to not touch the threads and then in the very middle of the coin slot.
Printed circle topper if you don't use a pom pom
5% infill - two walls, printed with hole facing upwards and used s on build plate.
Assembly:
β’ Fill the coin slot with pennies (or washers)
β’ Screw on the middle section you chose
β’ Fill that with catnip or treats if you choose to or you can leave it empty and have it as a batting toy
β’ Screw on the lid you picked. If you picked one with a topper hole, take a piece of 1.75mm filament and stick it in there. You can mold it into bendy shapes if you heat it on your printer bed, but go slowly so it doesnβt snap. Glue on a pom pom to the end or print the circle topper. Wait until the glue is dry before giving to your catβ safety first. :)
