In of appearance, it is a beautiful clock. However, when it comes to tolerances and those stupid screws, it's a complete drama. This clock is begging for a refinement of the design. If I had access to the files, I would do it myself. If you want to sell your CAD design, please me, I will be happy to fix everything, introduce normal tolerances and remove those stupid screws that shouldn't be there.

I printed and assembed mine but the gears are very loose and it binds up all the time

Very good design, printed quickly and without issues. Main note is that the tolerances seem quite loose... This results in the clock working well but feels floppy. ASIDE from that floppiness, it is easy to print and easy to assemble and beautiful to look at. Once its on the wall its wonderful to ire.

what infill did you use for the threaded gears? mine were so brittle the threaded part broke off just getting it off the build plate when it was done

@swinslade I bought the one from your link and it doesn't turn the engrenage. Did you do something to make it works ?

What a great design! The only problem I'm having is with the minutes wheel threads. Do you know what thread pattern you used (i.e., metric or SAE)? I think I might need to tap them out a bit. All the other threads for the small gears are perfect. I also used a 9/64" drill to widen the hole in the clock gear to match the 3.7 mm minute shaft on the clock mechanism.

Well, there seems to be something different about the threads in the minute gear. I have printed 4 of them and the threads were binding so tight that the gear backplate broke off inside. I gave up and printed a fourth small gear and a minute wheel without a gear, then glued the two together!

Maybe because the gear on the minute wheel isn't being started on the heat bed, but is raised by the thickness of the wheel. What layer thickness do you use? I'm using PLA 0.2 mm thickness.

I ended up printing the minute wheel at 102% scale and the accompanying gear backplate at 98%. Still had to carefully go back and forth on the threads a few times to loosen them up a bit so that I could get it fully threaded in.

I'm going to be printing the hour gear at a slightly smaller size too (and upside down, so I get to enjoy the nice texture of my plate on the face) to get the tolerances a bit tighter, as it does feel a bit loose and floppy right now.

Se ve muy bonito y elegante pero parece que no da bien la hora, parece ir desincronizado debido a los engranajes, cuando el minutero llega a cero ya pasa de la una y cuando dan las dos el minutero esta en 45, va con mucho retraso.
