3D model description

This is an adaptation of my 3D vehicle scans and is a fully printable 1:32 scale RC car designed to use 2/3 channel fully proportional radio gear with inexpensive motor, ESC and steering servo. I've listed the RC equipment below.

The body and interior prints best in Resin. I tried FDM but removing s was damaging the model. It might be worth a try if you don't have resin option.

The rest is designed to print in FDM and have designed it to print without s. Good clean accurate sized prints are important so that it all fits.

Once completed this is actually a pretty fast model with variable speed, good steering lock and great for surfaces like laminate floors.

One last thought - what is the potential for an RC slot car? Besides the throttle what could the other channels be used for?

Attaching the drive gear so that it does not slip is tricky. I put the motor drive shaft in a pair of mole-grips (locking pliers) and squeezed just enough to create a 'crimp' to grip the 2mm hole drilled in the gear. (see image)

The front axles have a left & right and are designed to mesh with the central steering gear in just the right position.

I changed a few of the connectors to shorten the wires and to make sure the ESC was compatible with my motor.
