Model Details:
Scale: At 100% scale, Funky Kong stands approximately 8.5 inches (216 mm) tall and 8.25 inches (210 mm) wide. Scaling up should work fine, but if you scale down, be mindful that some tolerances may become tight.
Model Set:
In addition to Funky Kong, I’ve included a surfboard stand for displaying alternative boards and an Oakley stand for sunglasses.
The surfboard stand is a single piece and prints without s. It measures 7.5 inches (190 mm) wide, 4.5 inches (114 mm) tall, and 3.125 inches (79 mm) deep.
The Oakley stand is multi-part, does not require s, and measures 5.75 inches (146 mm) tall, just over 2.2 inches (58 mm) wide, and 1.5 inches (38 mm) deep.
I’ve also provided optional MMU parts for Funky’s bandana, sunglasses, and the surfboard logos.
Funky Assembly Instructions:
Glue the bottom shorts to the grey belt, then attach the top shorts, and finally the white shirt using the pin.
Once glued, insert the belt loops (notch facing up). They may be tight, but you can scale them down by 1–2% for a looser fit.
Insert the middle grey belt into the silver belt buckle, then attach the silver belt latch. Insert into the belt then attach the belt flap.
Attach the left and right legs to the shorts, then attach the feet, ensuring Funky stands level.
Attach the left and right brown arms, followed by the small tan chest side pieces.
Attach the left and right hands.
Attach the brown neck and tan chest piece to the shirt.
Attach the face to the head, then the ears. Secure the head to the neck using the pin.
Attach the hat with the hat tie, then attach the hat to the head.
Finally, place his awesome sunglasses on Funky!
Surfboard Assembly Instructions:
The surfboard features two stripes. The stripe starting from the bottom up is STRIPE 1, followed by STRIPE 2. The pieces are clearly marked for easy assembly.
The fins on the back may fit tightly, so no glue is needed. If they're difficult to fit, you can scale them down by 1–2%.
For the T&C logo, use the white and black pins to align it to the board, and place the colored ring at the top using the notch provided.
I’ve also included a blank board with no logo, along with a version where all the stripes are merged into the bottom piece, so the board is now in two parts.
Once everything is assembled, simply place the surfboard in Funky’s hand and swap it out with any of the alternative boards as you like.
Funky Kong is ready to ride into your collection with style and fun! His vibrant design and customizable surfboards make him a perfect addition to any display. Thank you for bringing him to life—happy printing!
