Introducing Dry Bowser: The Ultimate Villain!
What could be more terrifying than the classic Mario villain? Enter Dry Bowser, the skeletal version of Bowser, resurrected from the depths of lava! This is the largest model I’ve designed to date, towering impressively over Mario and showcasing his true power.
Dimensions at 100% scale:
Height: Approximately 10 inches (254 mm)
Width: 10 inchesNote: Scaling up is fine, but scaling down may make the eyes difficult to fit as well as some other pieces.
Colors Used:
Elegoo: Matte White, Orange, Yellow, Red
Elegoo PLA Pro: Burgundy Red (Bracelets)
Geeetech: Silver
Bambu Basic: Black
CC3D: Bone White
Sunlu: Burlywood
Printing Tips:
s: Refer to the print settings image for guidance.
Cleanup: Ensure all residue is removed from the large black shell part.
Assembly Tips:
Some black shell pieces may look similar but fit differently. I’ve labeled one part “R” (Right side) and another “T” (Top, towards his head).
Spikes may fit tightly; twisting can help them pop into place. Some spikes might fit loosely.
For the black disk and maroon neck ring, the black disk has three cut-out slots that fit into the maroon ring. The disk sits on the three slanted notches. See the provided picture for reference.
When gluing the top beige shell piece to the neck ring, align it using the notch cut-out for centering.
The orange horn rings are labeled “L” and “R,” with arrows indicating the direction towards the hair.
The arms are labeled L and R with the side with the letters attaching to the shoulder.
Assembly Steps:
Build the Shell: Glue the black part to the white ring, then attach the red shell. Allow it to dry completely for a secure bond—be generous with the glue.
Attach Black Shell Spots: Use the labeled parts (R for Right and T for Top) and fit the other pieces into their unique slots.
Glue on the Spikes: Some may fit tightly; twist to fit them snugly.
Attach the Beige Chest Shell Pieces: Flat printed edges face down.
Secure the Legs: Once the beige chest pieces are dry, glue the legs in place, ensuring they fit inside their slots and glue onto the beige chest shell piece.
Build the Bracelets and Spikes: Note that arm bracelets are smaller with smaller spikes, while shoulder bracelets are larger with larger spikes, and the neck ring has its own size spikes.
Attach Shoulder Pieces: Glue them to the body, insert arm pins, attach the bracelets, and finally add the hands.
Assemble the Neck Ring: Follow previous steps; once complete, insert it into the black and white shell, ensuring the extruded black disk faces down.
Build the Head: The mouthpiece snaps on but may require glue for security.
Nose and Eyes: Glue in the nose pieces and build and insert the eyes.
Attach the Hair: Glue the hair to the black hair band and then to the head.
Horns: Glue on the Horn Rings and Horns:
Attach the Head: Glue on the head into the slot on the white shell
Tail: Finally, attach the tail using the pin.
Now you have one of the most terrifying villains in the Mario universe! I can’t wait to see how your prints turn out.
Happy printing, and thank you for all your !
