Carnival hat with 64 different variations for every party

Whether for carnival or a party. Everyone needs a colorful decoration and this hat is definitely one of them.

The hat shown consists of a base, a wreath, a pattern and a bobble. The hat shown is just one variation. There are four different designs each for the wreath, the pattern and the bobble. This means you can put together a total of 64 different hats and with different color variations, you can create an infinite number of different hats. If you print the base transparent, you can also add a string of lights to the hat and create the perfect party decoration at night.

An assembled hat is 185 mm high and has a diameter of approx. 120 mm.

When you buy the party hat, you will receive a total of 14 STL files. In addition to the basic body and the different variations of wreath, pattern and bobble, you will also receive a stopper. The stopper is a small, useful part. It is just a ball with a hole, but if you thread the rope on which the hat hangs through the stopper and wind the rope through the stopper once or several times, it will hold the hat in place even without a knot. This is practical if you want to position the hat precisely on the rope or if you want to hang several hats on one rope.

Egal ob für Fasching, Karneval oder für eine Party. Jeder braucht eine bunte Deko und da gehört dieser Hut ganz sicher dazu.

Der gezeigte Hut besteht aus einem Grundkörper, einem Kranz, einem Muster und aus einem Bommel. Der gezeigte Hut, ist dabei nur eine Variation. Für den Kranz, dem Muster und dem Bommel gibt es je vier verschiedene Designs. Somit lassen sie insgesamt 64 verschiedene Hüte zusammenstellen und mit unterschiedlichen Farbvariationen, lassen sich unendlich viele verschiedene Hüte kreieren. Wenn man den Grundkörper transparent druckt, kann man zusätzlich eine Lichterkette in den Hut einfügen und bekommt die perfekte Party-Deko bei Nacht.

Ein zusammengebauter Hut ist 185 mm hoch und hat einen Durchmesser von ca. 120 mm.

Wenn ihr den Partyhut kauft, erhaltet ihr insgesamt 14 STL-Dateien. Sie bekommen neben dem Grundkörper und den verschiedenen Variationen von Kranz, Muster und Bommel auch einen Stopper. Der Stopper ist ein kleines, nützliches Teil. Es ist nur eine Kugel mit Loch, doch fädelt man das Seil, an dem der Hut hängt, durch den Stopper und wickelt das Seil einmal oder mehrmals durch den Stopper, hält er den Hut auch ohne Knoten an Ort und Stelle. Das ist praktische, wenn man den Hut am Seil exakt positionieren will, oder, wenn man mehrere Hüte an einem Seil aufhängen will.

Basic body
If you want to have a string of lights in the hat, you should use a transparent filament and print the body hollow. I used a transparent PLA filament, reduced the wall line to 1 and set the infill to 10%.
If you want a normal hat, you should still make sure that the base body remains light. The weight determines the angle at which the hat hangs on the thread.

Wreath
The crown is the main factor in how much the hat tilts on the rope. You should therefore print the crown as lightly as possible.

Pompom
The bobble can be used as a counterweight for the wreath. Because it is smaller than the wreath, you should print it as solid as possible so that it can be used as a counterweight. Or you can print the pom-pom transparent and hollow so that the light can shine through the pom-pom. The pom-pom is hollow from the start and is connected to the base body via a hole. If the fairy lights are narrow enough, they can also be fed into the pom-pom.

Pattern
Each pattern is very narrow so that it is not too bulky on the hat. When printing, it is important to print slowly. I have reduced the printing speed to 20 mm/s for this. I recommend activating structures for all patterns, because some patterns become wobbly above a certain height and the printer can no longer apply the layers properly.

Assembly
Once you have all the parts for the hat, proceed as follows:
1. put the pattern over the base body and glue it to it. Make sure that the pattern covers little or none of the holes for the rope and the fairy lights.
2. if you want a string of lights in the hat, thread it through the larger hole. If you also want the fairy lights in the bobble, thread the chain through the hole in the top of the base.
3. now push the fairy lights into the pom-pom and then glue them to the top of the base body
4. once you have aligned the fairy lights in the hat, glue the wreath to the base body.
5. now thread the rope through the two holes in the base body. Use a needle or tweezers to help you, for example.
6. position the hat on the rope, tie a knot or use the printed stopper to hold the hat in position

TIP
If you have a problem with the hat leaning too much, attach a weight to the end of the rope. This pulls the rope taut and reduces the tilt of the hat.

Grundkörper
Wenn du eine Lichterkette im Hut haben möchtest, solltest du ein transparentes Filament verwenden und den Körper hohl drucken. Ich habe dafür ein transparentes PLA-Filament genutzt, die Wandlinie auf 1 reduziert und die Füllung auf 10 % eingestellt.
Wenn du einen normalen Hut haben möchtest, solltest du trotzdem darauf achten, dass der Grundkörper leicht bleibt. Das Gewicht bestimmt die Neigung, wie der Hut am Faden hängt.

Kranz
Der Kranz macht am meisten aus, wie stark sich der Hut am Seil neigt. Daher solltest du den Kranz so leicht wie möglich drucken.

Bommel
Der Bommel kann als Gegengewicht für den Kranz hergenommen werden. Weil er kleiner ist als der Kranz, sollte man ihn möglichst massiv drucken, damit er als Gegengewicht genutzt werden kann. Oder man druckt den Bommel transparent und hohl, sodass das Licht durch den Bommel scheinen kann. Der Bommel ist von Grund aus hohl und ist über ein Loch mit dem Grundkörper verbunden. Wenn die Lichterkette schmal genug ist, kann man sie auch in den Bommel führen.

Muster
Jedes Muster ist sehr schmal, damit es auf dem Hut nicht zu viel aufträgt. Bei dem Druck ist es wichtig, langsam zu drucken. Ich habe dafür die Druckgeschwindigkeit auf 20 mm/s reduziert. Bei allen Mustern empfehle ich Stützstrukturen zu aktivieren, weil manche Muster ab einer gewissen Höhe wackelig werden und der Drucker die Schichten nicht mehr ordentlich auftragen kann.

Zusammenbau
Hat man alle Teile für den Hut, geht man wie folgt vor:
1. Stülpe das Muster über den Grundkörper und klebe es an ihm fest. Achte darauf, dass das Muster die Löcher für das Seil und für die Lichterkette wenig bis gar nicht bedecken.
2. Wenn du eine Lichterkette im Hut haben möchtest, fädele sie durch das größere Loch. Möchtest du die Lichterkette auch im Bommel haben, fädele die Kette durch das Loch in der Spitze des Grundkörpers.
3. Schiebe nun die Lichterkette in den Bommel und klebe sie danach auf die Spitze des Grundkörpers
4. Wenn du die Lichterkette im Hut end ausgerichtet hast, klebe jetzt den Kranz am Grundkörper fest.
5. Fädele jetzt das Seil durch die beiden Löcher des Grundkörpers. Verwende als Hilfe zum Beispiel eine Nadel oder eine Pinzette.
6. Positioniere den Hut am Seil, mach einen Knoten oder verwende den ausgedruckten Stopper, um den Hut bei der Position zu halten

TIPP
Hast du ein Problem, dass sich der Hut zu stark neigt, befestigt am Ende des Seils ein Gewicht. Das zieht das Seil straff und reduziert die Neigung des Huts.
