Descripción del modelo 3D
This token holder is the companion to the Kill Team 2024 Core Token Holder and holds my custom-designed team-specific tokens for the Plague Marines, which currently have no official tokens.
Tokens
All tokens are single-sided.
The following tokens are included. The number in the brackets indicates how many copies of this token you should print:
- Faction Rule Token: Poison (x12)
- Equipment Tokens: Plague Bells (x1); Blight Grenades (x2); Plague Rounds (x1); Poison Vents (x1)
- Strategic Ploys: Nurglings (x1); Cloud of Flies (x1)
- Generic Base-Size Markers: 25mm; 28mm; 32mm; 40mm
The tokens contain small details and would look best printed with a 0.2mm print head, or on a resin printer, however they will also come up reasonably well with a 0.4mm print head too (check out my tips for fine-detail printer settings below).
Magnets
The design is intended to be used with four 5mm x 2mm round magnets, which pull the insert tight against the built-in stoppers in the cover, thus holding everything in place and stopping your tokens randomly falling out inside your bag! If you only have 5mm x 1mm magnets, you can (for free) an alternative 1mm magnet version of the cover, as well as 1mm magnet lifters, from here: https://cults3d.sitegames.net/en/3d-model/game/alternative-token-holder-covers-and-magnet-lifters
I use N50 magnets and they work really well but if you can get N52 strength they would be even better!

TOKENS
The tokens are 1.8mm high, with the debossed icons/writing 0.6mm deep. So if you want to make them multi-coloured, you can change filament colours after printing the 0.6mm height layer, and again after printing the 1.2mm height layer. For 0.15 layer height, this is changing after layer 4 and layer 8 have finished printing. For 0.20mm layers, it's after layer 3 and layer 6 have finished printing.
If you have a 0.2mm print head, use it! The tokens look so crisp when they're done with a resin printer or a fine detailed print head.
You can still achieve okay results with a 0.4mm print head too though. Here's some suggestions for getting the most precise details out of your printer:
Layer Height: 0.1mm or 0.15mm
Wall Line Width: 0.38mm
Wall Count: 2 (at a minimum)
Wall Order: Print outside walls first
Wall Speed: 40mm/s (details love low speeds!)
Resolution: 0.01mm
Flow Rate: 95%
Fan: 100% after layer 2
INSERT
Layer height: 0.2mm
Nozzle Size: 0.4mm
s: No
Infill: 15% Grid
Ironing: All top surfaces, spacing 0.2mm (gives a beautiful smooth finish)
COVER (print upright)
Layer height: 0.2mm
Nozzle Size: 0.4mm
Infill: 15% Grid
s: No
Wall Order: Print Inside Walls First (due to the overhang of the friction bumps)
Ironing: None
LOGO
Layer height: 0.2mm
Nozzle Size: 0.4mm
s: No
Wall Order: Print Inside Walls First (due to the angled outer edge)
Ironing: All top surfaces, spacing 0.2mm (gives a beautiful smooth finish)
Note: For most single-head printers you can achieve the two-colour effect by adding a PAUSE (or equivalent) command into your g-code, immediately before the start of layer 4 (height 0.8mm) and changing the filament to an alternate colour.
