Drum roll please... It's time to announce the winners of the #CLOCKSXCULTS contest! We received a huge amount of entries and all the participants excelled, which made it very difficult to choose the winners. A big thank you to all of you for your creativity and commitment!

Publish 3D Printable Watchmaking Models and Express Your Mechanical Creativity!

We are pleased to announce the launch of our 3D modeling contest dedicated to the fascinating world of watchmaking! This contest is the perfect opportunity for all enthusiasts of mechanics, design, and precision to push the boundaries of creativity by deg 3D printable models of watches, clocks, and other timekeeping pieces.
The goal of this contest is simple: produce 3D files (STL, OBJ, 3MF, etc.) of watches, clocks, and other timekeeping-related pieces, all ready to be 3D printed. Whether you are an expert in modeling or a curious amateur, this challenge is open to all skill levels. Take this opportunity to revisit classics of watchmaking or invent new creations inspired by modern, steampunk, or minimalist designs.
Here are some ideas to inspire you:
- Wristwatches with unique dial designs
- Wall or desk clocks in retro, modern, or avant-garde styles
- Mobile watchmaking pieces such as gears and functional mechanisms
- Custom alarm clocks with geometric or artistic patterns
- Stands or displays for watches and clocks
- Pendulum clocks, modern hourglasses, or stylish timers
- Accessories such as watch boxes, winding keys, or tools for watchmakers
- Etc.
So, get your software ready, sharpen your attention to detail, and let your mechanical creativity shine. And most importantly, don't be late, share your 3D models on time!
What is the duration of the contest?
The contest will run from October 1, 2024, to December 1, 2024.
What are the prizes?
To reward the best creations, Cults is offering 1,500 EUR to spend as you wish, enough to cover some of your 3D printing material needs, for example :) See the payment by bank transfer in the rules.
- 1st prize: 750 EUR
- 2nd prize: 500 EUR
- 3rd prize: 250 EUR
How to participate in the contest?
- Publish one or more new and original 3D printable models (never published on Cults before) related to the contest theme.
- Mention the hashtag #CLOCKSXCULTS in the description of your design (your design will not appear immediately in the list of entries due to moderation, please be patient).
- Submit your 3D model for free on Cults.
- Share your creation to get as much visibility as possible and increase your chances of winning.
How will the winners be selected?
Participants will be judged by the Cults team according to the following criteria:
- Originality of the 3D model: 10 points
- Usefulness and ingenuity of the creation: 10 points
- Quality and photographic staging: 5 points
- Popularity of the model (number of likes, s, views, etc.): 5 points
