Print Green, the 3D printed garden

Gardening has entered a new era thanks to3D printing! Students from theUniversity of Maribor in Slovenia have developed a 3D printer that can be used to create fully customized grass seedlings. Instead of using plastic filament, the printer agglomerates a mixture of lawn seeds, water and soil. The "Print Green"project combines art, nature and technology in a single device, creating the first 3D-printed garden. Connected to a computer, the CNC machine traces previously defined patterns in their digital versions. Over time, the object takes shape and is covered with grass.
