Make’s description

I used Cura to slice it. I had to separate the plates into 8 from 4 because my bed is 200mm deep so it just wouldn't quite fit. Printing went fine, but some issues being able to read all the numbers (my printing problems, not a model problem). It was a lot of work splitting the bases off and labeling the pieces so I'm glad to see the numbers are on the back of the earth model - that's a huge improvement! The settings that I printed most of the model at were not great so the pieces were a bit weak. I changed to a bit higher infill (20%) and extra bottom layer which were better (not sure the infill mattered honestly). I also went to .2 layer height. These minor changes made the pieces just a tiny bit larger so harder to fit into the existing ones. However it all went together and came out really better than I could have hoped. I was just using a bunch of old PLA that I had, thus the multitude of colours, but I kinda like it...
