Make’s description
5-12v electric (source min 9v max 12v). 3w MP3 siren sound from movie. Features dashboard lights.
Ecto-1 is about +50cm long. I scaled the files up to around 1.3.
I used Slic3r to cut the body parts into smaller pieces.
Then i used an old version of netfabb to repair the new files.
For gcode creation i used Cura.
Most parts printed with 0.2 layer height. Some with 0.1 and some with 0.3.
0.4 nozzle. PLA (black and transparent). 57° bed, 200° nozzle. 15% infill.
Used printers: CR-10, CR-10v2
All parts are sanded. I used "putty" and "filler" before spray painting black, white, red and chrome. Finally i handpainted the car. The windows are heat formed from PET. It is possible to use PLA(100% infill) for that..if your fast enough ;)
It uses 9v-12v and a remote control relay.
The inside is also fillered and spray painted. Ive done this before setting the main body together...holy s* what a work :)
I build in two cables to the roof (5v siren+9-12v other roof stuff). A volt-step-downer and the mp3 modul are placed in the bottom back of the car. The remote relay and the speaker placed in the front(engine) like the battery. For now its a very cheap speaker cause my good ones are out of supply right now.
(I did not use the electric from the tutorial (kept the things a bit more easy BUT with some controller like seen in the tut you have lot more options of course). For me the zip file of the electric-stuff seams to be damaged btw. The roof lights are "real" rotating leds, no need for a controller.)
Its still WIP but almost done.
