WW2 United States Pershing 90mm M3 Cannon Shells

Full size imitation of the shell fired by the 90mm M3 cannon used by the M26 Pershing tank and M36 tank
destroyer in WW2 and the Korean War, and also against ground targets by the 90mm M1 or M2 anti-aircraft guns. This was a powerful cannon which was capable of taking on the German Panther and King Tiger with the right ammunition.

Comes with choice of five projectiles:

Standard Projectiles

• M77 AP - basic AP shot
• M82 - standard APC shell with a HE bursting charge
• M71 - standard HE shell with M48 point-detonating fuze

Special Projectiles (these were introduced in late 1944 in limited numbers and were typically used only in emergencies, such as encounters with Panthers & King Tigers)

• T33 - special version of the M77 that was heat-treated for extra armour penetration and fitted with an aerodynamic windshield

• T30E16 (aka M304) - hyper velocity HVAP (APCR) round with a tungsten core

The case is additionally detailed with imitation crimps and a separately printer primer that inserts into the bottom of the case. 3D-printable stencils for the markings on the projectiles are also included.

Approx dimensions of complete assembly: between 827 (32.6") and 967mm (38") height depending on projectile and 131mm (5.1") max diameter at base.

With 5 projectiles to choose from, this makes an excellent choice for display or to use for re-enactment.

Printer with minimum 210mm Z-axis (height) print space required! For people with large printers that have 335-370mm Z-axis print space you can print the case in two parts and projectiles in a single part.

I have included 'complete' STL's for some parts as they are only a bit bigger, and a printer with 250mm Z-axis should be able to print them.

Recommend using 0.20mm layers for all parts. The M48 fuze and primer should be printed with smaller layers 0.10 to 0.16 to get all their detail.

All parts are pre-oriented in the best printing position. The M48 fuze has some overhangs and will require s. All other parts can be printed without s.
