Dear Dreyse

I bought your webley model, and i am having a little bit of trouble getting it to work, i think the s were too well attatched and it caused some problems and i am unsure how it is supposed to correctly function in order to diagnose the problem. How stiff is the pawl (A11) meant to be? when i touch it there doens't seem to be much resistance, i cant get the cylinder to rotate and i am wondering if there is not enough force being applied. When you squeeze the trigger is the hammer mean't to go all the way back and then strike, all in one motion or are you meant to cock it back then squeeze the trigger to "fire" it?

Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

I love it! it worked really well, I printed with Bambulab A1 with 0.4 mm nozzle to 0.16mm layer height. The only little issue is that I had to make the first notch on the trigger part longer for double--action to work because it had to push the cylinder rolling, beside that it s a really cool replica!

Bought it & print of the body should be finished on my printer by now. Used 3x wall thickness and tree in Cura. Yesterday stumbled on a video that advised with accurate parts to set "print outer wall first" Have you got any experience with this? For printing the screws for example?

To be honest, I haven't used that parameter before, so I don't know what its results can be. My apologies.

The idea is that when you print the inner wall first, the outer wals get pushed and deformed the outside, resulting in less predictable dimensions. The downside to printing the outside wall first is worse performance with overhang. I'll just try it out. Had some mixed results with printing other screws.

Yes, you can, but at the same time, you had to mirror the frame and almost all the pieces.

Whats the amount of material needed for this proyect?

Well, the final weight is 164 g, so with a 1kg coil, it is more than enough.

How to you get the finish shown in the photos? Is that a directly printed finish?

For that finish, I simply sanded it and gave it some oil.

How can i get the filament pins used in the piece?

Simply cut sections of the 3D printing filament at the indicated length.

Dude the assembly guide for this is a piece of art. I'm so used to no guide at all or a very poorly made video so when I opened up the pdf I was blown away by the list of the parts and how many are needed.

Do you have any recommended settings for printing the screws? I'm having issues to get any to wind in without the heads breaking, 100% infill PETG

1- More than infill use more perimeters (like 4 or 6 for example).
2- Check the print tolerances, it can be adjusted with the horizontal expansion parameter.
3- Check the quality of the adhesion between layers, mostly determined by the filament quality, temperature, speed, flow, etc.
4-Do not overtighten the screws (this happend me several times)
