3D model description

This design is inspired by the phaser as used in Star Trek The Motion Picture and The Wrath of Khan.

There is some discussion on how this should be scaled. I've taken advice from multiple folks within the ST productions, costume community and prop makers and the general agreement seems to be they vary from TMP to TWOK and also between makers depending on what materials the originals were vac formed in. I've scaled this to match a hero prop sold recently at auction.

I have also added an alternative top section that is flat so that a decal or sticker can be used instead of the button controls.

V2 UPDATE

The control is now split into separate components to make it easier to paint or illuminate. The controls have also been moved up 7mm and holes added to the top body to allow for lights.

3D printing settings

Its designed for SLA but can be done in FDM on a fine detail.
