Hi!, no problem happy to help answer any questions. The open rc f1 chassis is not compatible with this model as the design is different from that model. However, the files include different chassis options for 1990's, 2021 and 2024 style bodies which are all compatible with the chassis included in the files! Hope this helps and best regards

If you refer to Drawing 7 it shows a full exploded view and parts list of what you need to print, and sequence to install. What are you struggling to install so I could assist you in doing so?

The only detail that isn't there is installation of the store-bought nylon spur gear as this is something that will differ according to what you buy. Do install the nylon spur (if this is what is troubling you) You will need to print x2 'newgearmotorlock' or x2 'beltdrivemotorlock' and sandwich the gear with M3 Bolts and nuts and slide in the axle from where the pinion gear is.

Hi! sorry for the late reply. A low-profile servo (especially for the MP4/6 Body) is strongly recommended for the update yes, though with a very thin servo horn I managed to use a full size servo aswell!

Hi! I think you are referring to the Revision 1 upgrade. The front springs do not need to use large springs, they are using large oil shocks in the original version should you prefer, but the rear uses oil filled shocks, as you well point out they are the ideal shocks to use for suspension.

oh interesting, so the Revision 1 does not use the front oil filled shocks. Is there a reason you took that part out and went with smaller springs instead? How is the performance change?

Yes exactly, I removed them as they were too bulky for the car and the small springs were just enough to get similar results. Plus its cheaper as you only need 1 oil filled shock instead of 3!

You can either buy these https://tamico.de/Tamiya-Federn-Satz-vorn-F103-F104-RM-01-50509 or use a simple spring from a ball point pen and split it in half if its long, its cheap and worked fine for me though the F104 Springs are not very expensive either and are much better!

Your SteeringBlock4.stl for the orignal front suspension design has a axel diameter of 5mm, however your Steering Arm 1 for the modified front end has a 3mm axel. Bearings are too big. Are you going to adjust the Steering Arm 1 to fit the 12x5x3 bearings?

Hi! Thanks for the comment, just to advise that the car is designed to fit standard Tamiya F104 Rims, the wheels of that model are not compatible. Buying the actual rubber tyres are recommended and it really reduces wear and tear over time. RE your 2nd question. The revision 1 axle is specifically designed to use F104 Bearings, they are far superior than the standard. I might make an adjustment for the 12x5x3 but you negate the benefits from the upgrade. I will try to do it if I have time and will keep you posted. Hi, thanks! The car is around 45cm x 18.5cm x 11cm (may vary a bit how you set-up) To display, a table/shelf size slightly bigger than these dimensions, say 50cm x 25cm should be more than enough. Hope this helps!

Hello! Thanks for the message. No unfortunately, where I live there isn't an F1 Class so I couldn't really test versus manufactured cars.

It is not as great, but for a 3D Printed car it is very good and can take corners and straights in a track quite well thanks to the suspension. It will still suffer like any rear wheel drive F1 car with some stability and grip issues, but tyre and track preparation can help alot with resolving this. Hope this helps!

Not a problem! I hope this helps. You can in theory print tyres for it with TPU, but their grip is terrible and you cannot drive around tracks with it. Let me know if you have nay other questions and happy printing!

Hello, glad to hear that you finished the build! Could be that your servo horn is a bit different than the one I used, if it is an easy fix would be to measure the distance between your servo horn and the DRS loop. Then open your slicer, and scale the height down according to the size you have and maybe do 1mm less for some clearance and it should solve your issue!

Hello! Hope your build is going well. I used a metal rod that is no less thick than a diameter of 1-2mm. This will have to vary based on the tolerances of your printer as the over-hangs may effect the diameter of your holes, and you should size accordingly. Hello! Apologies, it seems that the pieces to hold the motor were missing. The files have been updated, for the belt drive please print x2 pieces of the 'beltdrivemotorlock' part found in the 'Rear Suspension folder. Then you can lock the pieces in using M3 Bolts and nuts. Hello, thanks for ing the files! I do not use .STEP files for the design, I design using Inventor but the STLs are all you need to print and assemble the project. I did not use a rear differential since my designs integrate belt or nylon gear drive-trains. Though you can still use the many diff options available if you want a 3D Printed diff, they are all compatible.

Yes, the halo as of now does get a bit in the way. My recommendation is to not glue it but I am working on a hop-up option for the camera to solve this.
