Any plans to build a 155mm wheelbase version to fit the gladiator?
I actually started deg another chassis with the gladiator wheelbase in mind, or slightly longer like 160ish, shortly after publishing this one. I had a prototype chassis printed and partially built, and really wanted to test and tweak and do another complete package sort of like this one, and then kid #2 arrived in June and it got put on the back burner. I should be able to start working on it again though, especially once the holidays are over. If you'd like, I can dm you some details and keep you updated.
Thatβs cool! Iβm searching for a 155 because Iβve 3D printed some 1/18 scale bodies that have a 155 wheelbase .
So I just pulled up the file and I had it stretched even further, with a wheelbase of 170-180, however it should be able to work with 155mm if you don't mind the shocks being more upright and not heavily angled. It'd work well with 1/18 bodies probably.
Actually, let me measure the wheelbase on my current rig with this chassis. With custom links it can stretch out pretty easily.
My goal was more angled, Iβd def still be interested for some other builds though.
I also just bought your current one just to you, very cool of you to respond so much
Thank you! I'm pretty sure you should be able to stretch the current one to about 155mm with the right link setup. I did not get a chance to measure it since I was out of town all weekend, but I'll try to tonight.
I measured it and itβs about 20mm too short on the rear without doing a big shock stretch
