7 Iris

Iris, like most of the S-type asteroids, is particulary bright. It is the fourth brightest asteroid, and it can became as bright as Ceres. The last images from the VLT (Very Large Telescope) show a very irregular surface, striked by craters.

I did not render this model, I just softened and simplified the model of Hanuš (2019) aviable in the 3D Asteroid Catalogue site, to make it less "poly".The file's names explained: name_1_x_10_y.stl is 1 : x * 10y. So _1_6_10_7 is 1:600000000 or one in 60 million.
