Surgical Robotic Arm Using Modular Robotic Arm.....

This project initiates the construction of a highly accurate surgical robot
comprising modular robotic arms with advanced tools to be used in surgery. A few features
from two different robotic arms are to be integrated into a highly accurate surgical robot. The
first arm is made from light 3D-printed materials, able to move in many ways. The second arm
is strong and robust, designed for industrial applications. This combination of features allows
the robot to perform more delicate medical tasks with high accuracy and precision. The design
will also include a precise tool that acts like a needle in surgeries with small cuts. The robotic
arm will use stepper and servo motors to move accurately when handling tissue and stitching.
A special 3D-printed attachment system will make sure the tool is held securely while keeping
the system lightweight and safe to use. The movements of the robotic arm will be controlled
by a Raspberry Pi 5, and with smart algorithms such as PID control, it will ensure that the
surgical tools will work accurately. The interfaces made quick and safe by the team will help
surgeons control the arm from a distance, allowing the system to mimic human skill in surgery.
In summary, the surgical robotics presented would develop an economical and adaptive
platform for today's surgical robots.

ABS was chosen for its durability, heat resistance, and mechanical strength, making it ideal for robotic components that must withstand stress and maintain stability during operations. Its lightweight nature reduces the strain on motors and actuators while maintaining structural integrity. Additionally, ABS allows for post-processing techniques like sanding or acetone vapor smoothing, providing a professional finish to the parts.
