In all honesty, did it make the CR5 a relliable printer?

Its pretty hard to get all the components in my country, and I don't want to invest time and money again in a money pit.

The CR5 was the worst aquisition i could have done in the first place, worked for about a week before i needed to tinker with it again and again untill i gave up.

Thanks for your . Is there a specific issue with my design? or is this overall frustration with the printer/brand?

I too feel the CR-5 is an absolute lemon, and was financially crushing. Iv always had issues with ALL creality parts. When I got the funds I moved onto bambulabs.

I keep this product up for those who may not have the funds to move onto better equipment yet or those who tinker for fun.

Sorry, let me clarify. I havent tested your design, im thinking of trying it, seems a good solution to not have the CR5 as a big papperweight.

The frustation was just with the original CR5 pro H / Creality.

I'm looking at doing this for my work CR5 Pro-H, apart from the files, extruder and various fastenings, what else will be needed. I can see you've done something with the circuit board. is this a different board i need to order?

You will need to re-route many wires & Likely extend many (including the strip to the display). My board looks different because i shorted it by re-connecting my BL Touch incorrectly and had to replace it ( i would take pictures and ID all your placements).

Is the cable that comes with the sprite long enough to use with a CR-5?

Not absolutely sure. Other s and myself moved the motherboard and extended the stock cables to give the sprite cable more play, to be on the safe side.

Hello, I understand that you changed the controller board. Is it possible to know where you put it?

Other people that have purchased this have kept it inside. I left mine behind the printer (my printer was not against a wall, its on an island)
