You like Cults and you want to help us continue the adventure independently? Please note that we are a small team of 4 people, therefore it is very simple to us to maintain the activity and create future developments. Here are 3 solutions accessible to all:
Sharing and ing on Cults3D guarantees that designs remain in makers community hands! And not in the hands of the 3D printing or software giants who own the competing platforms and exploit the designs for their own commercial interests.
Cults3D is an independent, self-financed site that is not able to any investor or brand. Almost all of the site’s revenues are paid back to the platform’s makers. The content published on the site serves only the interests of its authors and not those of 3D printer brands who also wish to control the 3D modeling market.
Lack of instructions:
You might want to add more instructions on your page and in the files.
Not just printing instructions, but folder instructions, and also assembly, more later
The arms require s which are not clearly marked in your instructions.
I would add instructions on the root folder with further instructions. I see that you have one just for the alt arm versions.
Instead of many vanity shots of your model, i would add diagrams of how to assemble, especially for the inserts and screws.
(I am still trying to figure out why you asked for 2 m5 inserts and a m5 nut but only one m5 nut.)
Folder structure:
The folder structure was a bit confusing without instructions withing the files or on your page.
I would place the version arms into each folder, if you are keeping that folder structure.
You might want to label your STL and other files instead of the default 'body' corps.
Printing and print model issues:
you have tolerance issues.
I have very precise printers as I make maquettes and samples.
No, I am not referring to your arms, which should not include the original model as there is no gap for the print in place. The .25mm was sufficient.
I am talking about sliding guides and even the arms into the body case.
Everything for me fit but except the guides due to the tricky grove not printing smoothly even with tree s.
I decreases the size for the guides.
I can see this as a huge issue for others who want to print and then get stuck with arms that do not fit the body or even snap the pieces.
On that note, PETG would be better than PLA as PLA will warp in any environment and the measurements will be off. So please do not recommend PLA.
You guides can easily delaminate due to the orientation of the print layers. I would recommend revisiting them and the slots for a better print or at least mention this in your instructions.
