The V6 style mount is not possible with this design, it's takes op too much space. I can try and see if I can make it fit some way, but because you need a larger vertical surface to mount it, it's probably gonna interfer with the belt tensioner. I'll try it today to see if it fits, bit I'll probably have to redesign the whole lower mount and the fan ducting for both fans. I could also just refund you. I'll keep you updated.

It would indeed be possible to do, however i would have to change the whole lower mount to do this. The second problem is that I can't test the design myself, because I have no idea if the dimentions are acurate from the Revo V6 .step file.

Thanks for that. I finished the install. With hotend in front of the rail- still not sure is that’s correct. Had to flip the x end stop sense to the RHS by changing value. Had to take the
belts in front of the metal shafts in order to keep the belts straight to the idlers.
And when I went to home Z the nozzle did not reach the bed.
Did you already mod yours?
I’ll get the grinder out tomorrow and adjust those top z-rod locators by taking off the folded part that flanges down.

I use a bltoch, and not any endstops. that means my bed can go as high as the lineair rails allow me to. maybe i can work out a solution for the stock machine. if I find any time this summer... i've some cources i still have to finish so...

So now that I finished assembly I now know I built it back to front - hotend should have been behind the x beam. I know this because it is not reaching y=300 and can reach over the edge of the bed at y=0. Too hard to flip it at this stage, but maybe thats why I had trouble with the x-endstop.
Running all the calibs now, to see if it can go faster :-)

Thanks! I'm using sensorless homing, so for my setup I removed the endstop. Atm only the frame and bed assembly are stock. Bigger motors, other mainboard, offcource klipper, and I've build my own acrylic enclosure for the machine. I can try and guess the offset for the endstop, but it wont be as acurate. About how many mm does it need to be moved? Then i'll change it.

FYI, I'm also working on a vulcano dragon hotend fanduct for my own setup. I can already move the printhead at 1200mm/s, so I'm only limited by the hotend now.

the pictures are out-dated. The step file and the parts list are up-to-date. The pictures are and renders are just for ilustration. It would be a lot of work to make new renders and pictures every time I change something.

Thanks for your prompt reply and I see youve updated the files - im just looking at the step file because I need to open the gap slightly to fit a rapido hotend. I see there is a big version number jump from v52 to v84 - not sure what changes you've made but I see a tensioner is missing.
If you wanted , please make all the heat insets the same size - really fiddly sourcing specific sizes.
Also I prefer it when heat insets' strength comes from the other side of what its pulling, not so the strength relies on the adhesion of the inset.

Don't mind the step file version. It's just a Fusion 360 thing. If I save the project in fusion, it's ups the version, even when there are no changes. The only things I changed are in the changelog on this page.

I agree that I should use the same inserts instead of 2 different ones, do I'll change that when I've got the time.

I do not agree that the adhesion strength of the heated inserts is not enough for this application. It's just to hold the fans and bltouch in place. If they do not fit, you definitely have some issues with your extrusion, and you should tweak your extrusion parameters.

The part that holds the standoffs are copied from the Vzbot, so I'm sure that the standoffs in this link will fit. If they do not, you have to calibrate your printer.

Hi, thank you for you comment. The 'topmount.stl' is from the orbiter v1.5. Also, this had 15 other s, and I never had anyone complaining that it was unclear what spacers they wanted to use. I also didn't make a assembly manual, because again, nobody needed it. Also I designed this printhead for myself, and I just put it out there to see if anyone else was interested.

Using the spacers as structural parts is the best way to make a strong printhead for this printer, this is a way better and lighter option then using some type of plastic.

If you're not happy about the design, I can give you a refund. You would be the first tho, because the other 15 people are really happy with it, and as I've shown in the video on the page,it's really capable. I've been using it ever since.

Hi, I added the a mount for the Orbiter V2.0. I used the original CAD from the Orbiter V2.0, so it should fit perfectly, but keep in mind that I can not test this, because I've got the Orbiter V1.5. I rotated the Orbiter a little more, for a better center of mass. I hope you like it!

Hi, thanks for your commend. I was indeed planning to make a mount for the sherpa micro. I wanted to do s adapter to make it universal, but this would increase weight. I did think of holes for zip ties for cable management, but I found that I did not this. You can just simply use a zip tie to hold the cables of the hotend and fans, just zip them around the standoffs. I'll post some pictures of it.

Indeed, i did have a clog when I was testing different ducting types for the coldend cooling. Getting rid of this is pretty easy. I could just unscrew the 4 M3 bolts on the bottom side of the printhead, and then you can easily unscrew the hotend. I tried to make this process easier, but making holes in the topmount wouldn't fix this issue, because the lineair rails carriage would be in the way.

The belt tensioner can stay in the lower mount when performing this procedure, but you have to lose the belts for this.

I was also planning on making some kind of manual/video on how to assemble it, but I haven't had the time for this.

Hi, I've added a seperate mount for the sherpa micro extruder!

The mount for the x limit switch is on the step file model - Im confused because it is not engaging for me - the idler hits the mounting point for the layer fan, which has led me to suspect i have the whole print head around the wrong way. I followed the original that has the hotend in front of the X rail, assuming that would give correct y-axis alignment
