I'm confused. So how does this mount exactly? I have an Anycubic Vyper. It says it mounts to the 2020/V-slot but there's no screw holes and the M3 screws are too thin to latch onto anything.

You like Cults and you want to help us continue the adventure independently? Please note that we are a small team of 4 people, therefore it is very simple to us to maintain the activity and create future developments. Here are 3 solutions accessible to all:
Sharing and ing on Cults3D guarantees that designs remain in makers community hands! And not in the hands of the 3D printing or software giants who own the competing platforms and exploit the designs for their own commercial interests.
Cults3D is an independent, self-financed site that is not able to any investor or brand. Almost all of the siteβs revenues are paid back to the platformβs makers. The content published on the site serves only the interests of its authors and not those of 3D printer brands who also wish to control the 3D modeling market.
The thumb screws aren't deep enough, there's easily 3mm+ of play in some of the ts once they're bottomed out. Most of the threads have 3.5-4 threads exposed once slotted through another piece, but the thumbscrew max has 3 threads, needs either a thick washer or deeper thumbscrew.
I don't know what's happened here but that doesn't sound right at all. If it doesn't look like the pics I've got of the printed mount then something has gone wrong with your print. If they're over-extruded the threads won't work.
Nope, zero over extrusion, calibrated e-steps a few days ago. It threads all the way in just fine, but the nut is just not deep enough. the threads measure 6.5mm tall with everything except the nut installed. The nut only measures 6mm deep. It's physically impossible to completely clamp them down. Idk what kind of tolerance/clearance you designed into it, but for a capped nut, you want at least 1-2mm clearance at the end. Based on your design you have zero or even less.
Sorry you're having trouble but there's nothing wrong with the design. This design is 4 years old this weekend. It has several hundred s, 10 ed successful makes and a fistful of likes and remixes across 3 different 3D print sharing platforms and you're the first to comment about the dimensions being wrong whilst also looking at a picture of an assembled one and 2 other successful makes here on Cults. You'll find the other makes on Thingiverse and Printables. Good luck!
Literally both makes say they had to modify the nuts and there were clearance issues. One directly states the nut needed a spacer and the other says they had to modify the nut to work properly. There is 100% an issue with nut depth/bolt length as even in software the length of the bolt part is too long.
Right, this has been a trip down memory lane so bear with me because this is a ridiculous story. You're right, the design here on Cults is wrong. However, if you go over to Thingiverse and find my same model by the same name (I don't think I can comment links) , and the nut from there, it will fit π
What I'm assuming has happened is when I created a Cults , you could automatically import all of your Thingiverse models so I would've done that. It must've been around the same time that I designed this because then, I either found the issue you described myself or based on someone else's comment I've updated the design, but updated only on Thingiverse!
So, I'll happily eat my words and update the design here as it is on Thingiverse, that'll take me a minute to organise so it would be faster if you grabbed the Thingiverse model. I wish I could share a picture here as I have the original design, Thingiverse stl, and Cults stl all lined up together and it's hilarious!
P.S. 3mm still sounds like too much play, the revised nut is 1mm deeper and should be ok.
