Upgrade your Ender 3 V3 KE with this innovative filament sensor relocation system! Reduce waste, improve filament flow, and simplify your 3D printing experience with ease.
This upgrade:
• Reduces filament length between the sensor and extruder, minimizing waste when filament runs out.
• Optimizes filament flow: The PTFE tube ensures a constant and protected path between the filament sensor and extruder. Compared to free routing:
- Reduces the risk of filament tangling, especially with a top-load system where filament hangs above.
- Eliminates uneven filament tension, helping to avoid printing issues like underfeeding or filament snapping.
- Improves print stability as the filament moves smoothly and without resistance, even during fast or extensive print head movements.
• Ideal for top-load systems, where filament hangs above the printer (e.g., in a box or on a hanger).
Key Features:
Filament Sensor Relocation with Secure Cap
Holder for the filament sensor with an optional cap for a tighter PTFE tube fit.
Filament Sensor Relocation Cable Clip
Clips for routing the sensor cable alongside the printer's 30-pin cable. Print at least one set to keep the cable off your prints.
Top Load Frame PTFE Guide (Low Height)
PTFE guide for the frame, replacing the original spool holder and sensor mount. Suitable for prints up to 16cm in height.
Top Load Frame PTFE Guide (High Height)
An extended version of the PTFE guide for the frame, designed for prints up to 20cm in height, providing additional clearance for taller prints.
Top Load Frame PTFE Guide (Max Height)
A fully extended PTFE guide designed to utilize the maximum print height of the Ender 3 V3 KE, measured at 23.5 cm. This ensures optimal filament guidance even for the tallest possible prints.
PTFE Top Guide
Optional guide for precise routing of the PTFE tube toward the filament spool.
PTFE Tube Stopper
A simple stopper bead to prevent the tube from pulling too far toward the spool as the print head moves. Print two to stop the tube moving forth and back in the PTFE Top Guide.
Installation:
- Remove the original spool holder and sensor.
- Disconnect the sensor cable from the 30-pin connector under the printer.
- Unscrew all six top screws on the printer frame.
- Remove the top plastic part of the frame (be careful with the Z-axis washers and ensure the belts don’t shift).
- Carefully remove the sensor cable from the plastic top part.
- Pull the sensor cable through the left pillar of the frame upward (it won’t go the other direction).
- Reattach the top plastic part to the printer frame.
- Unscrew and remove the original clip of the 30-pin cable on the print head.
- Attach the sensor to the new holder and secure it with the original screw without washers.
- Use the original screws to mount the filament holder onto the print head.
- Thread the PTFE tube through the guides and insert it into the top hole of the sensor holder. If the tube feels loose, add the cap to secure it. If necessary, add stoppers to the other end of the tube.
- Insert filament, push it through the tube, and enjoy waste-free printing!
Why Choose This Upgrade?
• Material Savings: Less waste when filament runs out.
• Optimized Filament Flow: The PTFE tube ensures smooth and reliable filament feeding without tangling or resistance.
• Easy Installation: Clear, step-by-step instructions with minimal risk of errors.
• Customizable: Options to fine-tune for specific needs (e.g., guides, caps).
This upgrade is a practical and functional enhancement that saves material, simplifies printing, and boosts the reliability of your Ender 3 V3 KE. 🚀
