3D model description
triple thread easy lock small round container-case on hex bits in 2 versions with and without hole for hanging on approx:20mm - 25mm keychain (with 5 variations of tolerances for threads) so no worries for all machines
-easiest thread to print - not very usual 6x external thread (3 external threds on outer and 3 external threads on inner body)with a large pitch angle
-with 5 different options of tolerances for threads.: 0, -0.15mm, -0.25mm, -0.5mm, -0.7mm
-the maximum need to turn the lid for locking corresponds to 180 degrees from any point around the perimeter of the lid
-31 hexagonal holes for bit storage for 6,35x25mm hexagonal screwdriver bits (7mm hexagonal holes / 27mm max height)
ready to use from printer bed
no needed
recommended print -0,15 if your printer is well set up you should be fine
-0,15 means toleration between threads of outer and inner body - they are not usual and all threads are external
tolerance for the hex bit is same on all including containers -0,65mm wich means 7mm hexagonal holes
due to the locking design of this box, I recommend tightening it strongly but with sensitivity to ensure sufficient between the walls of the threads when closing - you will immediately find out what I mean with the first piece
-0,5 tolerance is ridiculously high tested with 0,8 nozzle the thread was loose but still functional
-if you need this or a larger tolerance range, because of any geometrical errors your printer is definitely not in good condition and probably diverges between the X and Y axes means they are not in right angle (90degrees)-
-!!!-extra fit version is challenge print-!!! if you consider the way fdm printers works it should move in small triangles when printing thread and that will cause sharp edges all over thread this edges will go off in first few rotation againts the wall of other thread
these sharp edges are also the same lenght as + toleration on this print so if you sand them away (threads are same lenght so sand outer and inner thread same ammount ) you will archieve the best posible fit
or if you printer is very well maintrained you should be fine with this tolerance to insert inner to outer body of container and rub it againts walls of other thread (you will have to use force to do so basicali you will be sanding the sharp edges away) with this you will get the best toleration possible (this can be done with pla only - other materials like abs/petg need to be sanded)
!!!print extra fit only if you think your printer is one of the best printers around!!!-
everyone should be fine with -0,15 and -0,25 tolerances. if your not, maintenance your printer immediately
Enjoy.!
