3D model description
Description:
After countless size adjustments and reprints, the desiccant bottle suitable for the spool is finally completed, and the size can perfectly fit the hole in the middle of the spool.
Notice:
1. The cavity is designed with 1.5mm, allowing for the insertion of desiccant particles that are no smaller than 2mm, ensuring they remain securely in place without any risk of leakage.
2. Typically, freshly printed bottles are challenging to fit onto the spool. However, once they have cooled down to room temperature, they can be easily inserted onto the spool without any wobbling or instability.
3. Due to variations in filament shrinkage rates, there may be slight deviations in the printed dimensions. I have experimented with Bambu PC and eSUN PLA+ and achieved the desired results. If the printed size is not entirely satisfactory, a suitable adjustment can be made using slicing software to scale dimensions accordingly, with a suggested incremental change of 0.2mm for each adjustment.
4. For printing filaments, I recommend using a high-temperature resistant and transparent material. This choice allows for clear visibility of the color change in reusable gel desiccants when they absorb moisture. Furthermore, it enables the convenience of drying the desiccant and the bottle together, as they can be placed directly in a drying process
5. It is recommended to fill the desiccant up to less than 2/3. When placing the bottle into the spool, the snug fit ensures that only the top and bottom of the bottle are in with the air. With proper desiccant filling, when the spool starts rolling, the bottle will follow the motion, allowing for thorough mixing of the desiccant and the surrounding air.
V2 version:
Increase the hole diameter to 3mm, suitable for desiccant beads with a diameter above 4mm
!!!Note when printing the V2 version, you need to set the printing order in the slicing software, fill > interior wall > exterior wall
Tested out of the box for:
V1 version, use bambu pc to print, can be directly used in bambu spool
V2 version, printed with bambu abs, can be directly used in Improved Bambu Lab Reusable Spool Holder

The V2 version is designed for the Improved Bambu Lab Reusable Spool Holder. If it needs to be used in other spools, the bottle needs to be scaled according to its center hole. For example, if it is used in a bambu spool, its vertical size needs to be scaled to a height of 60mm at the bottom, and the horizontal size should shrink according to the material Adjust so that the overall height is 63mmοΌIf you need to adapt it to other spools, experiment according to the same steps
