- WORD OF MOUTH: Invite your friends to come, discover the platform and the magnificent 3D files shared by the community!
Sharing and ing on Cults3D guarantees that designs remain in makers community hands! And not in the hands of the 3D printing or software giants who own the competing platforms and exploit the designs for their own commercial interests.
Cults3D is an independent, self-financed site that is not able to any investor or brand. Almost all of the site’s revenues are paid back to the platform’s makers. The content published on the site serves only the interests of its authors and not those of 3D printer brands who also wish to control the 3D modeling market.
Firstly, thank you for sharing. I was immediately wanting a gridfinity-based tool holder for the tools versus non-modular designs. I have built 2 of these for each of my K1 Max. I had a couple pieces of .
Notable:
1) There is no hole for the included mini Philips screwdriver. I drilled a hole behind the crescent wrench. It needs a hole > 2.5mm. I drilled a hole about 2.75mm and it worked fine, but was not placed with precision in the build. It would be a minor addition.
2) The crescent wrench easy can be knocked off when printed 'as is'. If you revise the design, increase the pad height on the tabs. It will require it to be slightly lifted higher to be removed and less likely to be accidentally knocked loose.
Minor:
1) The metric allen keys do not lock into position. This is caused by the lip around the allen key holes. Both of my prints hang with the key at an angle so they don't sit flat. They fit just fine, but can easily rotate. If the channel for these is increased it would allow them to lock into place and provide a cleaner look when the tools are stored.
2) Slightly increasing the hole for the nozzle cleaner. The hole is tight, so after using the nozzle cleaner if there is any filament on it it will be difficult to insert it back. This is more of a tolerance. s can bore this out slightly or drill it, but it is a revisional for refinement.
P.S. There is a great print for a funnel plate that is 4x2. This is a nice tool, but also serves great as a holder for the flush cutter to avoid it hanging off the side. It fits nicely on the top of any gridfinity holders printed for this. https://www.printables.com/model/624778-gridfinity-funnel-tray-2x4x2
