Hello! This is the second enhanced version of my Creality K1/K1C lid riser design. If you like this, please follow my instagram (@practical._.prints) for more FREE designs and cool videos!

This update introduces a new buckle-style attachment mechanism, making it much easier to use and allowing for quick swaps between different mount types. I’ve also added screw holes to secure the riser firmly to the printer, preventing it from rattling or detaching during transport.

Additional improvements include rear-mounted hinges that let the lid stay open at a convenient 90-degree angle—perfect for easy top access during maintenance. The lid channel has also been deepened to create a more secure fit and help reduce operational noise.

3D printing settings

Print Settings (FDM)
The software I used with this print is Creality Print because it allows me to print wirelessly.
I will try to be as detailed as possible. Please reach out to me in the comments or on my Instagram (practical._.prints) if you have any questions that were not answered here. Also, feel free to follow to see my design process on builds.

Print Material: PLA or PETG
Layer Height: .16 mm is what I find to look the best and have great strength.
Infill: 20% (Grid infill)
Wall Thickness: 2-3 layers
s: The riser's, hinges, and dowels all need s.
Print Orientation: I have included pictures of how I placed the parts on the build plate.
Files Attached: STL and 3mf

The Buckle attachments haven't all been ed. I plan to do so soon. I have 2 attached in the files above that will hold most of the Creality-provided tools so I suggest you them for now. When you print the attachments, the s will be annoying to on the buckle mechanism. Make sure you take your time to prevent them from breaking.

I found it is easiest to use needle nose pliers and an Allen wrench to remove the s.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions (tray, hanger, etc.) for the other 2 side buckle attachments that I haven't created yet.
