Hands-free mounting for The Handy

Want to go hands-free with The Handy? Hands3 is a custom 3D-printable mount designed to securely hold your handy, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy. You can also lay in bed or stand up too - Whatever suits you :-)

This can be a wearable with belts around your hips and waist or vesa mountable to a monitor arm. You can use the belts to hold it to the back of a chair or even use a ratchet clamp to hold it discreetly under an adjustable height desk.

Angles can also be adjusted as required using the angler plates and push pin rack system as illustrated. You will need 2 prints of the split push pin rack for 1 pin and you need either 2 for the small plate or 4 for the big plate - so print 8x of these split push pin rack parts and 8x of these push pins.

I have also added fixed angle hands3 prints if preferred - This includes the Angled Up AU, Angled Up Further AUF, Angled Up Further Further AUFF, Angled Down AD, Angled Down Down ADD, Angled Down Down Down ADDD as well as a hands3 mini that can be useful if you have some extra abdominal weight or even muscle that could push against a standard sized hands3 changing the angle required.

I have also added 3 ultra strong new versions that should help a slight cracking issue some s may have depending on print quality and accidental misuse - i.e shoving the handy in or pulling out at an angle that over flexed the previous cylinder part.

For this reason, I recommend printing the "New dice version" or "New dice Au" or "New dice Auf" for stronger prints and the added bonus of not needed to use a trilancer cinch strap.

hands3+ (3 rows of belt slots) standard and Au (angled up) have also been added - For taller guys 6'3+.

New alt hands3 design added - To strap/belt around groin and leg. Could be useful for an alternative hold of the handy. Thanks to a cool handy community member called Ehhnygma, that suggested for me to design around this way as an alternative.

What You’ll Need:

Trilancer cinch strap: This loops around the handy and holds it to the Hands3 print. Depending on your print quality, you may not need this at all. If you do, loop this into the hands3 first then add the belting, whether that's with the quick release buckles or the cinched at sides way. An 18" or 24" strap from the trilancer multi pack will be needed for this. Though if you print the new dice, new dice au or new dice auf - you most likely will not need the trilancer cinch strap at all.

An alternative is place a paper tissue over the cup section then slot your handy in to form a perfect tight friction fit. This cape like piece can be a hero in not only holding the handy in but also for drying up and cleaning up afterwards too.

Tactical duty belts - 2x 2" / 50mm wide, Velcro backed, with quick release buckles. These can be used cinched with the hands3 print or with the quick release buckles.
