Self-Watering Planter (Small)

had a leaking issue at the three lines.
its supposed to show the water height but thats not working for me.

i found you can use a cork with a 12cm piece of thick wire and a little flag made out of paper so indicate the water level.
the cork fits into the watering hole and floats if its full.

printed one in 1:1 and 1 in 150% scale. great project

Ich printed on in 1:1 and one in 150% scaling. Great pot, allthough the 3 lines were leaking even the whole pot looked good qualitywise.
Used acrylic clear coat on the inside to make it stop leaking.

Hack: You can use a cork of a wine bottle with some wire and a little flag or something you like to put into the watering hole. The cork will float high when water is good and sink when you need to re-water.

I tried printing the pot with your settings and it went great! Now, it did take around 18 hours... And the reservoir is predicted to take like 20-something hours. Is that the expected time? Did I mess up some setting?

I try to print it and the reservoir prints fine, but the inner filter no, I tried 7 times and it didn't itself. I changed speeds at the base and it had trouble sticking. I will try again with other speeds more lacker and stuff , but for now having trouble to print it.

maybe dumb question but how do i change the Speed: Top Solid Infill – 15mm/s, Solid infill – 15mm/s settings in Cura? i'm not seeing any solid infill options so i'm sure i'm just reading it wrong

Can these be scaled up in a slicer and still work fine?

This seems like a wonderful gift idea but how does it not break down as PLA is not waterproof and absorbs moisture.

The three lines are just our logo, they shouldn't be leaking. If they are you can either try reprinting , we suggested coating the interior of the reservoir in Titebond-3 Wood Glue (link in the description).

The fill line is at the bottom of the spout on the reservoir. If you open the PDF instructions included there is a cutaway photo which details where the fill line is on the reservoir, but basically you should fill the reservoir to the bottom of the spout.

The three lines at the bottom are supposed to be thin enough to show the water level but not so thin water leaks out of them. So I would maybe try reprinting because when I printed it didn’t happen to mine.

Hey, I have a question, I'm not a native speaker and I think, I got things confused.
There are these 3 small.. ..thingies, where the wall is not as strong as elsewhere in the reservoir and water keeps dripping out of there. Is this supposed to happen, like an information so you know when you DEFINITLY have to much water inside?
Or is this not supposed to happen?
Also, in the instructions you said there would be a line, where you should fill up the water to.
What line did you meant exactly?
