Hey, there are lots of multiple files and it's very confusing which one is best for 3D printing and will work perfectly. I don’t want to waste my filament, so could you please help me?

Hello. There are multiple files because there are both single and multi-color print options. The best thing to do if you have the ability to print in multi-color is to just use the file titled "Smore Caddy.3mf". Let me know if you have more questions. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the info!

I noticed there are 6 different plates within the Smore Caddy.3mf file:

Multicolor Lid_Handle

Multicolor Caddy

Marshmallow Insert

Lid (No Handle)

Chocolate Graham Cracker Insert

New Holed File

Could you please let me know which of these I need to print for the full multi-color caddy setup? I just want to make sure before I start so I don’t waste any filament.

You only need one lid so decide on if you want the handle or not. The "new holed file" works better for the main caddy then the "multi-color caddy" as then you can use small screws for the twist on lid. Otherwise every other plate is a necessary print

So, according to you, I can use a new hole file. That would work with any other parts, right?

yes it will work with anything in the same 3mf file

Okay, thanks a lot for responding, but I have more questions. The "new hole file" shows more than 20 hours printing time; why is it so long? I have a Bambu Lab P1S printer; do I have to use the default settings for the all 3MF file?

1.2 kg of filament and 1.5 days of printing and the interior boxes don't fit inside the rest of the model. This isn't a printing error they are nearly 10 mm off in each direction, and if I scale the interior boxes down they will not fit a candy bar or gram cracker. I feel like I deserve a refund on this model.

It turns out the dash 1 files are a different size than the none dash 1 files, and now I also need to reprint my lid as well. I would be very careful checking measurements if you decide to actually buy this model. Nothing is well labeled and there is no good description. Additionally only some files are provided in the larger size that will fit a candy bar. If you don't have a multi color printer you will need to resize a lot of the models. I'm pretty upset having spent nearing $15 on this model and more on wasted filament. I've seen more accurate and better documented models that are free on other sites. I would not recomend this if unless you are willing print almost everything twice.

I'm sorry you didn't have an optimal printing experience with this model. I provided the 3MF file which is pre-colored and labeled for ease of use.

Hi - I'm about to print the updated files but it looks like only "Smore Caddy_CADDY_larger.stl" was updated for bolts. Can you also update the other files?

Hey there. I updated the 3MF to be "S'more Caddy 3MF.3mf"
I have no desire to change the files you requested to have the holes as it would be a huge inconvenience the way I saved the files. It really is easy to break off the pins and then drill your own 2mm holes; It's what I do when I print these for customers. Sorry if that's not the answer you wanted.
Also the duplicate files I have no idea why it's doing that as it didn't do it for me when I reviewed the files. OK, so the new 3MF isn't painted? Bummer. What about adding cylinder negative modifiers to the original 3MF? That may be the best option.

I just updated the 3MF with the color version. If you want to use negative modifiers that should work okay.

Loved the print. All but the tabs to hold on the cover. They are very small and weak and 1 snapped right away 1st time putting cover on. So I put in a screw and works much better. I think if you edit the file to be thicker there to actually accommodate a screw that would work much better than the printed pegs.

Yes I have thought about just replacing the pegs with holes as well so bolts can just be inserted after printing. I'll think about it. Thanks for the insight and
