Introducing an exclusive retro fridge designed to store your USBs, SD cards, and micro SD cards in a unique way.
Before embarking on this exciting project, consider the following details:
Printing Time:
This model requires a significant printing time due to its design and dimensions. For example, the case, printed on an Ender 3 S1 with a layer of 0.2, may take approximately 18 hours. Prepare to exercise patience.
Material:
This model is designed to be printed in PLA.
Leveling and Adhesion:
Ensure that your printer bed is perfectly leveled and has good adhesion to guarantee the quality of each layer during printing.
Sanding and Finishing:
Although it was not the case for me, some parts may require sanding, especially in the seam areas.
Assembly:
Before using glue, ensure that all pieces fit correctly. Initially, secure them with adhesive tape (or painter's tape) to confirm that everything aligns as anticipated.
The hinges are designed to be secure once glued. Be careful when testing them using tape, as their fittings could be damaged.
For step-by-step instructions, please refer to the video tutorial available in the provided YouTube link.
Door Operation:
The handle is functional. Use it for both opening and closing the door."
Number of Pieces and s:
The model consists of 36 pieces. Note that some parts may require s, although they have been minimized as much as possible.
Printing Options:
You can print the pieces separately to facilitate the printing and assembly process.
You also have a second option, which involves printing the case and the interior in a single piece, in case you want to paint the pieces to your liking or if you have a multi-filament printer (the 3mf file for Bambu Lab for this piece is included).
This second option will allow you to save a lot of printing time.
Storage Capacity:
The fridge can store 15 USBs, 18 SD cards, 16 micro SD cards, in addition to a lower drawer with dimensions of 76 mm x 65 mm x 24 mm.
Final Dimensions:
Once assembled, the model has dimensions of 162.4 mm + 12.5 mm (legs) x 111 mm x 89.5 mm.
The largest piece to print measures 162.4 mm x 85.4 mm x 89.5 mm.
Additional Resources:
I have attached detailed photos and an assembly video for you to have a complete view of the project. Also, a PDF file detailing the necessary pieces according to the chosen printing option.
