You like Cults and you want to help us continue the adventure independently? Please note that we are a small team of 4 people, therefore it is very simple to us to maintain the activity and create future developments. Here are 3 solutions accessible to all:
Sharing and ing on Cults3D guarantees that designs remain in makers community hands! And not in the hands of the 3D printing or software giants who own the competing platforms and exploit the designs for their own commercial interests.
Cults3D is an independent, self-financed site that is not able to any investor or brand. Almost all of the site’s revenues are paid back to the platform’s makers. The content published on the site serves only the interests of its authors and not those of 3D printer brands who also wish to control the 3D modeling market.
First, I'd like to say this thing is amazing, I'm not new to 3d printing, but I could never get this to work. In theory, I don't see why it's not working for me, but every time I put the lock core into the body, it never works. I printed all of the lock parts about four times (some more than others), Both on an Artillery X1 and a Saturn 2 Pro.
The biggest problem I had that took me the most time to decipher is that I have my printer tuned, so I have very little squish. So I had to sand down a latch ring so it would spin under the first lock ledge in the body.
Next, no matter how careful I was, the combination was never what I set it using the combination setting tool. it was always one number off in either direction. Not a big deal. I could operate the locking core outside the body, and it would work fine every time.
As soon as I installed it into the body, I could never get it out by using the combo. I tried with and without grease, and it didn't seem to make any difference other than how quiet the sound was inside.
If anybody has made this and has no issue with the lock working right, please let me know. I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong. This comment is not to say this build is bad in any way, as I can see how it works outside the body, and it should work. It does work until the core is installed for me.
Thanks! Keep up the great builds.
