This (very) fast-printing, modular storage drawer system has been specifically designed to print in ‘vase mode’ to allow for very fast printing and low filament usage.
Now you can create your own customised, stylish storage solution for lightweight parts and components both quickly and economically! This design is currently exclusive to Cults3D, so you won't find it anywhere else.
It can be easily customised to suit your requirements by printing and connecting a variety of different frame and drawer options together to create your ideal desk or workbench organiser.
Highlights:
- 9 different drawer size options and 12 different frame options, enabling countless storage combinations.
- Removeable dividers for the 6 largest drawer sizes.
- 4 x shelf widths available as an alternative to drawers.
- Very fast to print. A medium width frame (80mm) can easily be printed in under 90 minutes, and a drawer in under 30 minutes.
- Very economical due to low filament usage. A medium frame only uses around 40g of filament and a medium drawer only around 10g (based on Cura estimates). The smaller components are a great way to use those last few grams of filament on a spool!
- Easily connect individual frames together vertically or horizontally.
- Optional stabilising feet and drawer stops.
- More than 60 individual STL files for maximum design flexibility.
- NEW: All files are now also available in extra-deep versions (50% deeper than the standard version).
Parts / Assembly:
The frames are either 40mm, 80mm, 120mm or 160mm wide and the drawers for each frame are 2mm narrower (for example, a 78mm drawer fits in an 80mm frame).
Each frame width has 3 available versions to house either 4 x standard-height drawers, 2 x double-height drawers, or 1 x double-height and 2 x standard height drawers.
There is also a separate version of each frame with integrated drawer-stops.
The new 78mm full-height 'bin' style drawer fits in the 80mm 2-drawer frame (the version without drawer stops) and will take up both slots to give double the height.
Individual frames can be easily connected vertically by sliding them together using the integrated top/bottom profiles. To connect frame units horizontally, the er strips should be used. STL files for both full length (60mm) and mini ers (20mm) are provided, as well as ‘looser-fit’ versions.
PLEASE NOTE:
All models have been designed to print using Vase/Spiralise mode. Please check that your 3D printer/slicer s this before purchasing the files. Using default settings will result in the models printing solid. All of the parts shown in the photos were printed using a Creality Ender 3 V2 3D Printer and sliced using Cura.
These files are provided for PERSONAL USE ONLY. It is prohibited to share or redistribute these files or any derivatives, or to use them for commercial purposes, including selling the printed models.

P.S. If anyone wants to post a photo of their prints, I would love to see them. :-)
Also, keep checking back or follow me.. I have more designs on the way.
Update 2nd March 2022: Optional flat-tops and half-ers have been ed. These will allow for a flat top and sides to be achieved in an assembled storage unit to give a cleaner look if desired. I have ed an additional photo to illustrate how this looks.
The half-ers can also be used for filling gaps where side-by-side frames have a different number of er profiles (for example where a 4-drawer and 2 drawer frame meet horizontally).
Both of these options should also add more strength and rigidity to assembled storage units.
Update: 9th March 2022: Hi everyone.
A corner-er has been ed. These allow for frames to be connected horizontally at a 45-degree angle, so one frame (any size) can be positioned in a corner and connected on both sides to other frames using corner ers to achieve a 90-degree total angle, whilst still allowing the drawers to open unobstructed.
As with all other models, the corner er is designed for printing in Vase/Spiralize mode to minimise print times.
Update 13th March 2022: A couple of people have requested a full-length er with increased tolerances, so I have just ed one. The filename for this is er60mm_LooserFit2.STL. This has an additional 0.1mm tolerance around all horizontal edges.
Update 2nd April 2022: I have just ed a new drawer option. This is a 78mm wide, full-height 'bin' style drawer.
The new drawer fits in the existing 80mm 2-drawer frame (the version without drawer stops) and will take up both slots to give double the height.
Update 7th April 2022: Optional clip ed to help hold frames together more tightly at the bottom corners.
Update 3rd June 2022: Shelves ed for all four frame widths. These can be used as an alternative to drawers, and simply slide into the frame on top of the drawer runners.
Update 2nd February 2023: I have just ed a 118mm version of the full height drawer (filename: 118mmDrawer_FullHeightBin.stl). This new drawer fits in the existing 120mm 2-drawer frame (the version without drawer stops) and will take up both slots to give double the height.
Update 31st March 2023: I have just ed extra-deep versions of all drawers, frames and associated components (66 files in total). These are 50% deeper than the standard versions . To keep the files separate from the original version, I have ed them as a zip file (filename:ExtraDeepVersion.zip).
The new extra-deep versions are fully compatible with the standard-depth versions, but obviously should only be used underneath (or ed horizontally) for stability reasons.
Alternative versions of the 3-drawer frames have also been ed with the double height drawer at the top instead of the bottom of the frame (in all widths and both depth versions).
