This is my Rennkraft GT Button Plate. This model is the amalgamation of the many wheels and button boxes I have built over the years. It's built to be extremely structurally sound, ergonomic, and as universal as possible. It is also designed to be 100% 3d printable, which means you don't have to worry about CNC or hand cutting components. Parts are extremely easy to source and uses very few screws. If you've never built a wheel before -or even if you have and are just looking for a little guidance, these files include a detailed guide to printing, building, wiring, and coding your own.
These files include EVERYTHING you need to build this wheel (minus a rim and quick release.)
Expected build cost: $20-30
Some quick features:
2x Rotary Encoders
6x Momentary Switches
2x 3 position Momentary Toggle Switches
2x extra thicc paddle shifters
7x WS2812b RGB LED Shift Lights
Files include a detailed BOM, 20+ page instruction manual, paddle shifters, button box, button caps, rotary encoder caps, and horn plate. Expected cost of button box is $20-30 if sourced from Aliexpress, plus the cost of a rim. There are also multiple different button text options included so you can customize your buttons however you want. Instruction manual also includes an example simhub layout for Arduino Pro Micro for any newcomers looking to build this box.
Files include 2 varieties of front plate, one for straight spokes (Like the one pictured) and one for curved spokes (See the image with Front Plate for CURVED SPOKES.stl.) Rim has NOT BEEN TESTED with any rim outside of 320-330mm. me if you have rims of sizes that are not this and I'm happy to assist you :)
Multimaterial printers are NOT REQUIRED to get the multicolored parts of this print. They are designed to be used with a pause at layer and filament change. This is detailed in the instruction manual.
QR is not included. You will need to use the QR that fits your system.
