Rules:
The game is for 2-4 players.
Catch the endboss (Mewtu), to win the game.
To be able to get to the endboss (Mewtu) the trainer/player has to
catch all 4 types of pokemon in the 4 different areas.
Areas with Pokemon:
Electro - Pikachu
Water - Squirtle
Fire - Charmander
Plant - Bulbasaur
How to move:
The player starts on the field next to his/her pokeball. For movement,
the player rolls the dice (dice from 1 to 6). Its allowed to move in
every direction along the path on the board.
The player needs to go over the black fields to get to the middle.
Combat system: First Catch
The first pokemon, is the easiest to catch. The trainer has to hit the
exact field the pokemon stands on. If the player manages to do that,
the attempt to catch the first pokemon starts.
The attacking trainer needs the same or a higher number on the
numbered dice to catch the pokemon.
The defending pokemon must have a higher number, on the
numbered dice to defend himself. The defending pokemon is always
played by the next player in line!
If the player wins, the pokemon goes into his/her pokeball.
If the player loses, the pokemon is relocated by the next player in line
on another field in the pokemons area.
Combat system: Pokemon vs Pokemon
Colored dice,
- if the player throws a color that isn´t the color of the pokemon,
nothing happens.
- if the player matches the color, he/she gets plus 1 in addition to
number on the other dice.
F.e.: Throw 4, match the color of the pokemon, that equals
5
- if the player throws the "S" (Special) on the colored dice, it’s
worth a bonus of 2.
F.e.: Throw 4, get a "S", that equals a 6
- if the player throws the "R" (Team-Rocket), he/she gets a
malus of 1
F.e.: Throw 4, get a "R", that equals a 3
Bonus:
A bonus is given, when the player catches a pokemon with
another pokemon, which has got an element, that is stronger
than the opponents one.
F.e.: Squirtle/ water gets always +1 in addition to the number
on the dice when it fights against Charmander/ fire. If the
player throws a 4, he/she gets automatically a 5.
In other combinations f.e. catch fire with electro, it neutral
so no bonus is added.
Water +1 vs Fire
Fire +1 vs Plant
Plant +1 vs Electro
Electro +1 vs Water
Mewtu always have a +2 Bonus against every
pokemon! But Mewtu doesn’t get a color bonus.
Combat system defense:
The rules are the same as described above. If there is a draw in
numbers, the attacking pokemon wins! The defender must have a
higher number to defend him/herself.
The defending pokemon is always played by the player that has the
next turn.
If the player catches the pokemon, he/she can put it into the big
pokeball and use it later in the game to catch more and fight against
the endboss.
If he/she loses, the next player relocates the pokemon and the turn
is over.
Combat system against the "Endboss" (Mewtu)
The endboss has 4 lives. To catch it, its necessary to beat it 4 times in
total.
It is possible that 4 players fight at the same time against the
endboss. The player that manages to take the last live wins the game.
The combat system, as stated above, is the same in the end fight.
If the trainer loses with one pokemon against the endboss the
pokemon must be placed in his area and its no longer part of the
team. If the player loses all pokemon´s, the player is set back to the
start and has to start over again. Except that he/she don´t have to
catch all 4 pokemon’s. So, it is allowed to go back to the enboss fight
with just one pokemon in the ball.
If the player manages to take one of the lives, he/she is allowed to go
on until the 4 lives are taken or one attempt failed, then it is the next
players turn.
