Does the file 170mm×105mm (knight base)?
Can you export the .f3d files as .STEP files so we can use programs other than Fusion360 for this?

Hello, can you please push me in the right direction? I want to make nameplate for really big oval base (bottom oval 710x235mm, top oval 690x220mm, height 32mm) but i have just begun my learning of fusion 360. As far as i understand, i need to change Sketch 1 and Sketch 2 from circles to ovals, but i don't understand how to do it, so far i can only change size.
hello ! That's a big base! And a lot of features on this model are linked to each other so i don't think it would works easily if you modify the shape of the first two sketchs. I'll check if I can just make you one today on wich you can add text outside of fusion ! what would be would be the approximate size of the plate? ( i'll make 4 or 5 differents lenght, but just to be sure.. )
Thank you very much! if you can make one with approximately 350mm in length it will be fantastic
Awesome file! I'm new to Fusion 360 and 3d Printing generally but it was pretty intuitive. I am having problems with the text font thouygh, it will let me change it on the NAME sketch but it reverts to the default on the projected image.
hi ! thanks for the and most of the time, if the sketch is done but nothing change, playing with the timeline on the bottom of the screen an making it replay those actions link to the text will solve the issue !
Is there any chance that the 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 80mm, 90mm and 100mm . f3d files can be added as .STL (as in the Empty folder) so they can be opened with 3d Builder.
It currently only has 17mm, 20,mm 22mm, 25mm, 27mm and 30mm.
also when i try to emboss a name with 3d Builder it puts a curve on the name. Might have to learn Fusion360
hi ! sorry, just saw your message! i'll add them this weekend and you should try whith prusa slicer the emboss tool is generally really good !
Thanks. Will have to look into it when i finish this block of night shifts, and have a little time.
If I want to create a name plate with 40mm and each with the names Sean and Max. Fusion360 crashes and error message RemoveBody-Body27 appears. Do you have a solution for this? For all other names it worked
trying with the 40mm base, the text keeps going to the bottom and isn't centered
Getting an error with the 40mm base file when clicking "Finish Sketch". Other sizes seem to be working correctly:
Error: RemoveBody-Body27

Hi, the Lineman 32mm nameplate seems to be bigger than all the other nameplates. It would be great if you could re- it to be consistent with the other names.
Hello! Sorry I must have missed it! I'll fix it tonight!
Hi, I would like to purchase this but before I do, can you make a 28mm model? Thanks!
Hello yes there is a 28mm model !
Hi - anyone figured out how to adjust for 75mm Oval bases?
The blood bowl Lineman is spelled wrong, it should be lineman not linemen
This does not seem to be working as demonstrated in the video anymore. something with the "embossing" give you an error every time:
Cannot create emboss feature at specific depth.
Might be a trivial error, but I have 0 experience with 3d software
Sorry to hear that :/ can you try to move back and forth in the time line at the bottom of the screen to see if it resolves the issue ? Or export the file and share me a link so I can take a look ?
I try to share as far as I got. Entirely possible I'm doing something wrong but the error message is very unhelpful for the uninitiated :D It does seem as if the embossed text is not "flush" with the curved surface, if that means anything

sorry for the late reply ! I checked the file and yes there is 2 bugs since an update with the emboss! To solve it if you don't want to wait for me to fix all the files you just need to rmove the bold on this font or check an other font! i'll try to find one that look nice and doesn't need the bold. and sor removal at the end was unnecessary so going back in the time line sove it ! I sended you the file fixed and a screenshot ! let me know if you still have some issues with the file and sorry again !
Thanks! I would never have guessed that the font might be the issue. I'll play around with it
Hi ! Your drive link doesn't seems to expire, could you please remove it by any chance? ^^'
How do I edit the text. When I right click the menu shows edit sketch but the edit text option is greyed out.
Right-click, Edit Sketch. Then right click on the text again and the Edit Text option will be available.
Hey, are you able to update this to include a plate for the 28.5mm bases?
thanks
Hello yes but I don't have a lot of time right, sorry you'll have to wait a little bit! But as said in the comments by previous owners, scaling down on x and y in the slicer works just fine !
Hello! I'm new to Fusion 360 and am having some difficulty resizing it to 28.5mm. I see some other commenters have worked it out, but I'm struggling a little. How would I go about doing this?
Hey ! Thanks for the purchase, hope you like it ! The best way is to resize the plate in the slicer after editing the text ! Let me know if I can help you further!
Thanks for the reply! By how much should I resize it? And wouldn't that make the name plate too tall as well or do slicers have a way of enlargement only in two dimensions that I don't know of 😅
Yes you can in the slicer resize only on x and y and keep the z a 100% and the ratio you want should be the size of your base/ the size of the base in the 3d model x100 ( ex: 28.5/32*100 gives you 90% for x and y ) try that and if it's too small add 3 or 5%
Just before I purchase, is there a file that fits a 120x92mm oval base?
so i dont know if if fusion 360 updated since your video, but i have to Edit Sketch than Edit Text but when i do no matter what size base it shrinks the text size and moves the text to the bottom of the plate with no way to move the text up? what am i doing wrong on this?
Hey ! Nope still works fine for me, can you send me a screenshot of fusion when editing the text ?
thanks! just opened the model and yes there is something wrong with the 50mm one too! I helped someone else to fix this with a screenshot in a previous comment if you don't want to wait for the fix ! :) sorry for the delay !!
Hello! I love it, great work. However, is it possible to get one for 28,5mm bases as well? And for oval cavalry bases in the sizes that GW provides?
Hi ! Thanks and I just ordered some oval bases are the 28.5 and 28mm the same? I can order one if not !
All good! Thanks for replying but I ended up poking around in the other parameters and was able to modify it to work :) One problem I did run into though is the text skews toward the bottom rather than being centred vertically, do you happen to know what parameter adjusts that? I couldn't work it out. Here's a PIC

if alignment in the text parameters didn't work for you try to save a copy and remove the purple line in the NAME sketch. you can select it easily by long clicking on it until a small window appears and let you select it in a list . while this line is removed you should be able to grab the line underneath (the dotted one) and move it up and down. and voila!
let me know if I wasn't clear, hope it helps !
I'm not sure 28,5mm or 28mm is the same, but I'm fairly certain that 0,5mm won't make much difference in any case.
Awesome! Works great :) Can you please add one for 28mm bases too?
Hey thanks ! sorry for the delay and if i right one of the smaller one 25 or 32 can scale to a 280mm one. I just ordered some to test and make a proper model !
Btw what a nice photo! Hope you post or share me one once the alignment is fixed! :)
It worked! Awesome thanks so much for taking the time to explain that :) Apologies for putting my previous reply in the wrong comment thread too lol, that must have been confusing haha. You can see these ones I made better here, but for the next will be centered now :)
Hi. The Youtube video has no audio. Can you fix that so I can follow the instructions to rename the players?
Absolutely love this file, my whole army is now named!
Just one question, what would you recommended for a 170mm oval base for a chaos knight. I would want the name plate on the front. Thanks!
Hey might need a new model but i have ordered some bases to test ! Sorry for the delay i didn't saw your comment and thanks angain ! :)
Just wanted to chime in and see if there was any update on this size. 170mm x 109mm knight base
Hello,
I can't just delete the text. I just want the design because i have only 30 days free fusion 360 and i want use this file after that. And only 40mm blank file, no big blank plate
Hey ! Yes there is already blanc one or you can delete le text and export it !
Yes but not with 50, 60, 80, 90 and 100mm
Ah yes sorry ! Just set the text with a space for the size you want ! I'll them when I have 5 min this week !
cool
My fusion 360 refuses the space and nothing works, it always displays the NAME PLATE and when I enter a name it shifts it to the bottom and no way to modify. I'll wait for your files, I've been struggling for 2 hours with this program ^^
Hey! how can I add e,ojis? :D
Hey ! Just need to Google it and copy paste them ! The black and white ones are the most reliable !
Can you convert f3d files to step or other format, that i can use it by Autodesk Inventor?
Hey ! Sorry but no, parametric values in fusion will only work with f3d but you can still convert them in step after editing the text ! Not sure I answered the question, but let me know if not !
can you add to empty folder other plate sizes 32.40,50.. and other that is in f3d format?
Oh yeah sure ! If i cannot do it tonight it will be done tomorrow !
thanks) ill be waiting for the update
I definitely wouldn't mind some SW: Legion sized ones. For some unholy reason FFG had to go with 27mm bases so literally nothing on the market is made for them.
Hey sorry for the late reply but I'm pretty sure someone made some by scaling down the nameplate on the x and y axis ! I'll check if you want the exact number!
I'm not able to change the text for some reason. I'm simply following the steps in the video.
Hey! Sorry to hear that ! Are you sure you followed every step in the video ? Including moving the camera around to select the right layer when editing the model ? Let me know if you didn't manage to make it I'll edit them for you !
I found the solution. I'm not a Fusion360 veteran so I had to get out of the pan mode. After pressing escape, and then right clicking, I did get the option to make the nameplates.
Prints well, now if it had versions for the titanicus bases it would be perfect.
Bough this but nothing seems to open in Blender.. Is this true?
Kinda bummed.. :/
Hey! Sorry if that wasn't clear but files only works with fusion360. I don't think you can open it with blender.. let me know if you have issues or send me a message on Twitter !
Yeah, probably my bad.
Caught my eye on the " I added some empty nameplates of different sizes that you can edit with your favorite 3D software " part. Heck, maby I´ll just have to try Fusion for this then!
Ah yes but it only concern the folder "empty" but I'll edit the description to make it clear, if you doesn't successfully got something out of the file let me know I'll edit some nameplates with your text and send them to you as stl
Nah man, it´s ok!
ed Fusion and I´m on my way now, test prints going out soon. Thank you tho!
Ever thought about making same kinda thing for flying bases? Would be cool to name Battlefleet Gothic ships with stuff like this. :P

Hey, is it planned to release the nameplates for the long side of oval bases? If not, could you hint how you go to the measuring?
I've ed fusion and could adjust all round nameplates just fine, but couldn't figure how to adjust them to fit oval bases on the long edge,
