Who still knows the old NAVY twin sticks for steering model ships?
Unfortunately, this stick set has only survived to a limited extent and has not really made it into the digital age.
We have reinvented the Navy TWIN Stick and now we are going one better with the NAVY-POD Controller. The NAVY-POD Controller is the solution for all models with Schottel or AZI-POD drive. The controller is similar to the original controllers of ships with PODs. We have adapted it so that it can be easily installed in the RADIOLINK remote controls.
The throttle controls the speed of your propeller. This is located on a 356° rotating console, which can be turned 178 degrees to the left and 178 degrees to the right. This allows you to control your model like an original.
The highlight:
You only need to print out the controller to the exact dimensions and can even use the internal components of the remote control for the new controller. Theoretically, no soldering is required for the conversion - however, we recommend disconnecting three cables from a potentiometer during disassembly and soldering them back on later.
Scope of delivery:
The package contains both controllers already mirrored.
What needs to be purchased:
To assemble the controller, you will need the following building materials:
6x countersunk head screw 2.5x12 (wood screw)
1x thin cable tie
2cm wire diameter 1-2mm
Compatibility:
The controller is compatible with the following remote controls:
Radiolink: AT9; AT9S; AT9S Pro; AT10; AT10II
The pictures show a technical drawing of the hole dimensions and the installation diameter. You can use these to determine the installation compatibility of the module with other remote controls.
The potentiometers used for Radiolink correspond to the following component designation:
XV09411N1OFF
CF R0909N B5K
Both must correspond to the resistance value 5K (5000 OHM). The PrintShip3D NAVY-POD controller is designed to fit these potentiometers. If your other remote controls correspond to the installation dimensions shown in the drawing and the potentiometers of the joysticks also correspond to 5K, you can adapt and install the DUAL-PULT controllers for other remote controls using the above-mentioned potentiometers.
Do you dare to install the controller in your remote control? To help you "explore" other remote controls for compatibility, we have ed a test ring to CULTS3D that you can free of charge. You can use it to test the fit and find out whether the hardware fits. Click here to get to the test ring.
The advantage?
- You buy our product once per household and can use it for all your remote controls.
Be fair and don't share it with others outside your household or club.
By choosing the filament, you can give the component your individual color preference.
Included are print templates for sticking on the thrust controllers.
The building instructions
This time they are not available as a PDF for , but we sat down and made a YouTube video of the installation of the controller. You can watch the tutorial at the LINK.
