Mars Rover

This is mars rover which is 3D printable. It is a replica of the Mars Rover that is currently exploring the planet Mars. It features a rocker-bogie suspension just like in the real rover, which allows the rover to run smoothly on uneven terrain and climb obstacles while keeping all six wheels in with the ground all time.

You can get all STL files needed for 3D printing this Mars rover, as well as the complete 3D Model in editable SOLIDWORKS files.

Prusa MK4 Printer:
For simple prints;

Layer Height: 0.2 mm
Nozzle Size: 0.4 mm
Print Speed: 50-60 mm/s
Infill Density: 15-20%
Infill Pattern: Grid or Rectilinear
First Layer Speed: 20 mm/s (for a good foundation)
Bed Temperature: 60°C (for PLA)
Extruder Temperature: 200°C (for PLA, adjust for other filaments)
Structures: Only if necessary (use "Tree" s for minimal with the model)
Retraction Settings: 0.8 mm retraction length, 40 mm/s retraction speed (to prevent stringing)

For Intricate parts;

Layer Height: 0.1 mm
Nozzle Size: 0.2 mm
Print Speed: 30-40 mm/s
Infill Density: 20-30%
Infill Pattern: Honeycomb or Cubic
First Layer Speed: 20 mm/s
Bed Temperature: 60-65°C (for PLA)
Extruder Temperature: 200-210°C (slightly higher for intricate detail)
Structures: Enable s if needed (use "Tree" s for minimal with your model)
Retraction Settings: 0.6-0.8 mm retraction length, 35-40 mm/s retraction speed

Bambu Lab X1 Carbon:
for simpler models;

Layer Height: 0.2 mm
Nozzle Size: 0.4 mm
Print Speed: 60-80 mm/s
Infill Density: 15-20%
Infill Pattern: Grid or Rectilinear
First Layer Speed: 20 mm/s
