PRINTER SIZE REQUIREMENT:

FEATURES:
- Efficient, no- design for ease of printing and reduced filament use. Full prototype was successfully printed without s using less than 1.5kg of filament for all pieces (based on the recommended print settings below).
- 53 printable pieces (20 track pieces, 20 connector pieces, and 13 fence pole pieces) shaped to allow numerous pieces to fit on a single printer bed.
- Press fit, numbered connection scheme, which provides for quick identification and assembling of pieces by matching inscribed track numbers with inscribed connector numbers (see drawing sheet 3).
- Engineered track surface that smoothly transitions from horizontal to an 18 degree banked curve (see drawing sheet 2).
- Design clearance provided between all adjacent pieces (see drawing sheet 2). No finishing work is required to fit pieces together (assuming no printing deficiencies).
CARS NOT INCLUDED
ASSEMBLY:
(1) Identify matching connector and track pieces based on inscribed text on each piece (see drawing sheet 3).
(2) For each matching pair, place the connector piece into the groove of its corresponding track piece, so that the alignment bosses on the connector insert into the alignment sockets of the track piece and the inscribed texts are on the same side (see drawing sheet 3).
(3) Assemble the matched connector/track pairs on top of each other one after the other in ascending order (i.e., 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.), so that track grooves are placed over connector bosses.
(4) Insert fence poles into the square holes of the banked curve track pieces.
