Super fun build! A couple notes. The shafts were the hardest part to print with a consumer level printer. A bit thicker on the shafts would have helped a lot. Also, the dual angle on the first set of gears was brilliant. A single angle on all the rest would have made it that much better. Last a very small tighter tolerance on the bearings might make the whole device last a bit longer.
P.S. your "o" and first "e" in propellers is pronounced a bit off in your build video (which was awesome!) Get Google to help you with that pronunciation.

Hey this looks really cool, thanks for deg it and putting it out here along with the YT video. I've printed all the parts but I'm waiting for BBs to assemble it, so I'll update with how that goes. I redesigned the handle because I really didn't like how much it required. Mine prints way faster and hardly needs any (but could use a little more aesthetics perhaps). Here's the CAD design for it:

After assembling it almost works. The gear train works fine (it even coasts for a second) until I squeeze the prop end of the case together. Then I can no longer turn it by hand. So when I put it together it's too hard to turn and I've broken 3 handles (but have managed to launch some props). I think the issue is the bearing races on the fourth axle are interfering with the case when the prop shaft collar is squeezing it closed.
Another tiny issue is the helical connector is too loose on the prop. Fixed with some tape shim.
One other little issue is the wide clips don't snap in for some reason. The narrow clips all work though.
No idea what changed but I took it apart and put it together again and I can crank it fairly easily. I did about 5 launches and cracked the 2nd (small herringbone) gear... seems this is an ambitious gear train for basic PLA and my printer (Flsun V400)
I reprinted the small herringbone and put it back together and it works quite well now. Think everything wasn't lined up and the oil worked in until I took it apart and put it together several times. The only persistent problem is the case clips. The wide ones don't stay on at all, and the narrow ones inevitably pop off.

The clips are finicky. Works well on my printer, they're even a bit tight. I suggest modifying them to get the prongs a bit closer in your case. Or tape it together (not very clean though xD). Not sure what caused the top case fitment issue, but it seems that you got it worked out! In the end, the handle should move almost on its own!
If you're curious, I suggest checking out the over-engineered version. It doesn
t have those clips. The gearbox in this one is virtually indestructible (I haven
t managed, nor did my friend who benches 250 lbs to break anything despite our best efforts) and it launches 3 times further than the one you built. The planetary gearbox it uses spread the loads over many teeth.
