3D model description
Organizers for Civolution board game. Quick game set up and comfort during the play. Sliding lids prevent components from falling out during the storage. Theme reliefs and cutouts decorate lids.
The Civolution board game comes with storage solution. However I needed sth more comfortable. My Player's component organizer separate different types of components, so the set up is faster and you don't mix workers with cylinders during the play. 5 Research card decks are kept firmly in 5 trays during the whole play and they are easy to pack after the game. The Hunt tray (with extra white and purple dice) is ready to place precisely on the game board in the game set up.
The set contains: Player's component organizer, Purple organizer + Hunt tray, combined Card trays, Terrain organizer and 2 Chip organizers.
- PLAYER'S COMPONENT ORGANIZER: All 1 player components are organized here in 4 sections. One is for the set of Module tiles. Sloped back wall and indentations facilitate taking tiles out. There are 2 similar sections for components that are taking out and putting in during the play: cylinders and workers. Other components are kept all together in the last section: buildings + boats, discs and the set of dice. I wish I could make separate compartments for for them , but there was not enough space in the game box for that. Still, I find these simple 4 sections as a big improvement. There is one model of the lid, but printing 2 top layers with different colors is a great way to distinguish player's colors. You can simply click "Color change" in PrusaSlicer on 2.15 mm height to achieve this effect (if you don't have MMU like me) - check the last photo.
- PURPLE ORGANIZER: Here are organized different components, so it wasn't easy to choose a proper name. So I have decided to refer to the purple ornaments on photos. As you can see on photos, this organizer's shape is addressed to the space inside the game box next to Player's consoles. Still, it is very functional and easy to close with the sliding lid. Material tiles are kept in a section with rounded bottom to facilitate taking them out. Small Scoring tiles are kept in the recession in the narrowest part of the container. 1st player marker and 2 indicators: phase and weather are kept together in the L shaped section. All cards used only in the game set up are accommodated here along with Automa cards. 2 decks of starting player's cards are divided with the default divider that comes with the game. If you are interested in 3d printed dividers, let me know. I'd be happy to design them too. For now the default dividers work with me well. Event cards and Solo mode cards are kept in another section. Again, 1 default divider separates them. I used cards without sleeves, but I've made sections for cards larger so the sleeved cards should fit there easily. Above the starting decks there is a shelf where a HUNT TRAY is stored. It is very thoroughly designed organizer that fits the corresponding space on the game board precisely. Hunting tokens are kept in section with rounded bottom to facilitate the draw. There are special recessions for white and purple dice. 2 stocks of 100-point tokens are kept in 2 sections with indentations that facilitate taking them out. I made the tray as short as possible, so the number of left dice is well visible during the play. It is 226 mm long.
- COMBINED CARD TRAYS: There are 5 decks of Research cards. One long tray wouldn't fit the game box, nor my Prusa bed, so I have designed 2 trays that can be easily combined in the game set up and dismantled for the storage. All decks are firmly kept in place during the whole play. Sloped bottom and indentations facilitate the draw. Card trays now are adjusted also to sleeved cards.
- TERRAIN ORGANIZER: There are 2 terrain tile holders that are kept together: Continent holder and Site holder. Smaller holder is placed on the shelf in the larger holder. Recessions on side walls of the Continent holder makes it easier to grab. Site tiles are accommodated in 5 sections, so they fit the space inside the game box well. Indentations in the holder facilitate taking tile out.
- CHIP ORGANIZERS: I am a big fan of random draw using textile bags. However, here I have replaced them with Chip tile organizers (Goal Chip organizer and GoldSilver Chip organizer), so they fit the game box easily. I was suspicious if this can be comfortable enough. It has turned out to be actually more comfortable for me. Sloped back and partition walls makes picking up random tile easy. Still, you can use default textile bags - it's just more difficult to fit them nicely inside the box.

3D printing settings
All organizers were 3Dprinted on Prusa MK4 (with Input Shaper):
- in PLA (main filament: Nebula Pearl silver),
- No is needed,
- Infill 10% gyroid.
Note1: I use slightly changed default Print settings "0.15mm SPEED MK4" in PrusaSlicer for containers with sliding lids. Other were 3d printed with 0.20mm SPEED settings (i.e. Terrain organizers, Hunt tray).
Note2: I set 8 top layers for better quality of the prints, especially lids.
Note3: Multicolor effect is achieved simply by adding "Color change" in PrusaSlicer on 2.15 mm height.
Note4: The largest is Purple organizer - it is 226 mm long.
