At the onset of WWII, Australia realized that getting airplanes to defend itself from its aggressive neighbor was more and more difficult therefore they started a program to design and build homegrown warbirds.
The Boomerang was the first fighter designed and manufactured in Australia, done so by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation between 1942 and 1945. The Boomerang was mainly dispatched to equip home-based squadrons and rarely engaged in aerial combat.
In later service, the Boomerang would commonly be used for ground duties, cooperating with Allied army units, in addition to secondary roles such as aerial reconnaissance and air sea rescue.
The engine used gave low power at altitude, but had excellent handling at lower altitudes, gaining the affection of most pilots.

This 916mm wingspan 1:12 rendition is powered by a BR2507 with 1800Kv and is designed to be printed in LW-PLA, with a few key parts in PLA+, like the motor mount, spinner, servo and battery tray, propeller spinner. The design has carefully planned internal structures for LW-PLA slicing resulting in clean parts with minimal oozing. Major slicer is provided to quickly print clean parts.
