I tried the print in place version, and the parts slide out of each other. It prints just fine, but its too loose. Other print in place swords work just fine, and I've made sure my printer is calibrated. It's a cool looking sword!

You like Cults and you want to help us continue the adventure independently? Please note that we are a small team of 4 people, therefore it is very simple to us to maintain the activity and create future developments. Here are 3 solutions accessible to all:
Sharing and ing on Cults3D guarantees that designs remain in makers community hands! And not in the hands of the 3D printing or software giants who own the competing platforms and exploit the designs for their own commercial interests.
Cults3D is an independent, self-financed site that is not able to any investor or brand. Almost all of the site’s revenues are paid back to the platform’s makers. The content published on the site serves only the interests of its authors and not those of 3D printer brands who also wish to control the 3D modeling market.
Visually, it's a really nice sword. Printed in about 4 hours or so, at 75%. (100% wouldn't fit my build plate depending on orientation, and wanted 10+ hours. Yikes.)
However, I also have the lines on each tube, and they do like to come flying out of the handle. I even reprinted the bottom one slightly larger and gently heated the bottom of it to soften it just enough to fit back in the handle (and of course, let cool) and it still just keeps chuckin' the pieces of the blade across the room.
I see comments about tape, I can see why that might work, but I wonder if a V.2/V.3 (I'm not sure what iteration this is on) might be able to have a small lip on each tube to catch the other, something of that nature (I could absolutely be wrong, I can't figure out how to design a dang thing lol.)
Still, it's a great looking sword, I think it has a lot of potential.
