This 1/30 scale model of the Global 8000 jet is engineered for both scale accuracy and cost-effectiveness. Designed to accommodate twin 50mm EDFs, it provides ample amount of thrust with a high thrust-to-weight ratio of 0.8. The model is optimized for 3D printing on standard desktop printers like the Ender-3, simplifying assembly without sacrificing detail. The model features a fixed landing gear with spring loaded struts.
This model is created to make realistic jet models accessible to everyone, and aims to inspire RC enthusiasts and future pilots alike, sparking ion for aviation in a new generation.
The standout feature of this aircraft is its infill-based design, requiring no complicated slicer settings—just adjust the infill percentage, and leave everything else at default. No drilling or extra operations are needed for assembly, aside from basic sanding and clearing excess material around holes and ts.
The assembly process is straightforward, however I'm drafting a manual similar to the A350-900 and will be releasing it shortly.
3 Hollow Carbon Spars are needed in total:
2no* 6mm dia, 335mm length
1mo* 5mm dia, 100mm length
The 50mm EDF does not have any mounting points so it is suggested to use 3M double tape to stick the EDF to "Engine Nacelle Inner". This worked perfectly for me.
Attention: The first 5 people who purchase the A350 model and send me videos of flying it will receive this Global 8000 50mm EDF model for free. Link for the A350- https://cults3d.sitegames.net/:2332370
3D printing settings
-This aircraft is printed using Regular PLA and TPU for hinges.
-This aircraft requires no special slicer settings such as adjusting Wall Thickness, Layer Height, etc. All the settings are
default. Make sure the Infill Pattern is set to “Cubic”.
-The only parameter to be varied for each part is the Infill %. (Next to each STL part file is a bracket with the infill%, you can refer to that)
-The Build Plate Adhesion Type should be set to “Raft” to avoid Elephant Footing of the parts.
-The only parts that require are the “Wing 5” ,“MLG Slave Strut” and "NLG Slave Strut", use “Tree” for this part. No other part requires .
-Build Plate Size Requirements: 200mmx200mmx220mm
-Print "Wing Spar 1", "Wing Spar 2", "MLG Slave Strut" and "NLG Slave Strut" parallel to the print bed to enhance the strength of these parts.
