Hey!
Here is another Jidi Parts Thing!
This design was inspired by nahueltaibo's 'Rover Tracks v2' Design
I wanted to make an all terrain vehicle that could be totally 3d printed using only PLA filament. I succeeded in this creating what you see above in the photos: an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) that is fully radio controlled and can run for over 5 hours on a 1000 milliamp 2-3s battery.
It has some pretty cool features:
- It can be flipped over and still drive without any problems (great for robot combat)
- Has plenty of room to add lots of upgrades - LED lights, a FPV system, a servo grabber, Vacuum Cleaning Attachment Anyone?
- Has super grippy tracks thanks to the TPU grips.
For how to print this design and how many of each file you need to print see the section bellow: 'Parts To Print'
What You'll Need For This Build
#####...Parts To Buy
If your just making the Chassis:
- Yellow Gear Motors x 2
- All the 3D Printed Parts (Please see the Parts To Print section bellow)
If you want to make the full build you will need:
- A RC transmitter I recommend to use the FlySky FS-i6 transmitter also known as the Turnigy TGY-i6
- A receiver that is compatible with your transmitter I am using the FlySky FS-iA6B Receiver also known as the Turnigy TGY iA6B
- 2 x 10A Car ESCs (forward/backward)
- A Mini Power Distribution Board
- As Well as the Yellow Gear Motors x 2
Here is a 'Transcript' of the video (Coming Soon...) demonstrating how to configure the Flysky FS-i6 Transmitter so you can drive Pluto with ease:
The Table Bellow shows the necessary changes to the Mix settings in the Functions Menu of your Transmitter:

In some cases the your might need to change the Forward and reverse of one of the Chassis' motors. This can be done by swapping the wires around on one of the motors, or by changing some settings in the transmitter by going to the Functions Setup Menu in the transmitter, then selecting Reverse and then following the table bellow for the changes needed:

####Other Information
This is a great project to demonstrate how awesome 3d printing is and what is can be used for. If you have any problems with anything to do with this project please comment on this page. Please follow me or give me a tip so I can continue to design and create these things for you to print and make!
