3D model description
pi-Hydroponics The DIY hydroponic controller
Compatible with:
- Raspberry Pi Zero W
- Raspberry Pi2 Zero W
- Raspberry Pi 2
- Raspberry Pi 3b+
- Raspberry Pi 4
pi-Hydroponics makes your hydroponics system management easy and professional.
Key features:
- Compact design
- Affordable - about 100$ (ten time less than professional hydroponic system)
- Professional and reliable pH and Temperature readings (electrical isolated probes)
- up to 12 power outlets
- Modern dashboard (also for mobile and tablet)
- Push notifications
- Remote control
- Can work on existing wifi network or in AP mode.
- Import / export system telemetry
- On board Buzzer alert
- Configurable alerts (water level, pH, temperature etc)
- Outlets scheduler
- Power consumption monitor (for enabled tasmota hardware)
- OLED display
- Temperature controlled internal super silent fan
- pH probe calibration tool
- Electrical conductivity measurement
- Smart nutrient doser (optional)
- CO2 Carbon dioxide measurement (optional)
You can easily control up 12 power outlets, monitor power usage, monitor temperature and pH measurements and control the water level using no- sensors.
Then you can control remotely your system using an elegant and powerful dashboard and receive push notification on your mobile if something is wrong on your tank.
You can also import / export your system telemetry.
pi-Hydroponics is compact and easy to make.
You won't have any electrical noise coming from your system system (like pumps, led and heater/cooler) since the sensors are electrically isolated).
The controller is composed by:
- Raspberry Pi Zero W or Raspberry Pi 3b+ or Raspberry Pi 4 + Raspberry computer module
- Aquarium Controller
- Up to 12 power outlets (4 x 3 modules)
- Ph Probe sensor
- Temperature sensor
- Ambient temperature / umidity sensor
- Electrical conductivity (EC) measurement
- up x 3 Co2 Carbone dioxide measurement (optional)
- 2 x Water Level sensors

This is not a good project for beginner electronics hobbyists. I would rate it as intermediate to advanced. See the skills list below for a better idea of what is involved.
Recommended Skills List:
- Soldering - All components are either tenth inch spacing through-hole or SMD components readily available as modules with tenth inch headers, but you will need to solder.
- Construction and wiring of electronics
- You'll have to make a chassis somehow, either by using my STL files and a 3D printer
- You'll need to get printed circuit boards
- Familiarity with electronics
