3D model description
Case / Drone Mount / TBS ND Filter Holder for
GepRC Naked GoPro Hero 9 10 11 & 12
CAMERA BODY CENTERED - The lens is not centered and will be mounted traditionally on your drone.
If you are looking for the same design but you would like the mount to be centered with the lens look no further !!
Please read this description and the printing info below carefully. If you have any questions please me on Instagram @skream.fpv or send me an email: [email protected].
This case ONLY fits the NAKED GepRC GoPro Hero camera models 9 10 11 12 and can ONLY be mounted to a three loop naked camera mount . I will provide the file for that drone mount in my design collection.
This is a naked camera case and is meant to be mounted on small cinewhoops, but I have also designed an adaptor to mount into standard GoPro loop style mounts for bigger drones. Particularly for the DroneCo Slammed Squirt loops.
This case is super snug! You will not have a problem with the camera falling out at all. It offers a good bit of protection as well. That being said, it can be rather tough removing the camera from the case. I have, however, successfully taken it out several times and the back strip between the fan and the lens square never has broken on me. If it did I still wouldn't be worried because it fits really snug!
This case is designed to house a TBS ND filter. That being said, when printing with any color other than black or another dark color there will be some light glaring into the lens because of the reflectiveness and gloss of lighter colors. There is also a bit of glossiness even in black or darker colors. For this reason, I always use a couple methods to combat this after printing that I HIGHLY recommend you doing.
First After Printing Step: ONLY in the ND FILTER SLOT AREA, I like to sand or file the flat surface where the filter sits a bit to rough it up and take away that glossy sheen. I have found that a diamond file works really well for this. Something tiny like these from amazon are far superior than anything else for this task. I use the flat and the pointy cylinder shape. You may use sandpaper, but in my experience it isn't as effective and takes a bit longer to achieve a desirable result.
Second After Printing Step: This really only applies to those who plan on printing with a lighter color. I recommend coloring in the ND filter slot black first with a sharpie and then with some sort of matte black paint marker . If a little gloss comes back after I would rough it up again with the file.
3D printing settings
TPU - Only tested in TPU and I wouldn't recommend printing in anything else.
These settings have been successful for me on my Ender 3 Pro with Bowden Tube setup using Cura. However, you will definitely want to fine tune your own settings to your specific printer and needs.
