Ran into technical issues with the DPI low power screen solution, so gotta get a different screen. I can't get all the circuits through the neck without changing it's size majorly. Tried using connector ribbons but power attenuation lowers voltage enough to stop the screen from working. The other screen I want to use was $75.00 (USD), so I was waiting on the prices to go back down. I have it ready, just need to order the screen.

I am working on it. However, it'll be a bit bigger than the screen on this. They make screens that would probably fit it, but the readability of the screen would be low because of it being smaller. So I am looking into increasing it to fit a 4 inch diagonal screen (4:3). This also leaves a couple options... There is one display I found that is 4" diagonal and connects to the pi via gpio. I need to make sure that it'll fit through the neck pin. Then there is another one I found that basically would turn the screen into a fully functional computer monitor with all the modern video ports, etc., then one could use it with any other device with video output as well. The other factors are cost. Minimum price looks between $50 - $70 for the electronics. I did write in the description that I was planning this and ironically just before you commented I was thinking about coming back to this to get it done.

I also wanted to make sure that the black border around most screens will be covered by the bezel so the edges of the video align perfectly to the bezel inner edges like a real tube TV does. I think both display options I mentioned above also capacitive touch screen.
