Back to the future iPhone case
The Delorean 🤌🏼 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Do you want you have the coolest iPhone case around?!
Surprise your friends when you pull this beast out of your pocket!!
I carefully designed this Delorean iPhone case so that all buttons are still in use and you are able to charge your phone but please understand that this is a novelty phone case, for Kudos and street cred. Although you can use it day to day if you are careful with it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This has always been something that I really wanted to make for myself and after lots of trial and error I have finally made the phone case that fits perfectly and is one cool looking thing!
I have printed this car several ways, as one whole thing - didn’t work too much ruined the smoothness of the under belly.
In two parts spliced horizontally- worked good but just too much s in the rim parts (where the edges of the phone sits)
In four parts (see photos) this worked the best, if you want me to the file of the case split into four parts please let me know.. although it’s easy to do with your slicing software.
I had to simplify some aspects of the design to make it look better and be more practical but later down the line I may add back some of the lost detail. For example the wheels are now smooth with no alloy detail, and the back exhausts have a closed shutter door.
I removed a lot of the rear time circuit parts due to the complications during the print process..
The top section I haven’t glued yet as it is cool to take off so you can’t take a photo. I will add magnets to this later on.
Next for me is to sand the whole thing again then paint!!
I am looking forward to seeing your makes and print processes please!

3D printing settings
To get the best out of the STL file print the Delorean iPhone case with these guidelines:
• Slice into two parts, horizontally- this way you will get a nice clean surface for the phone to sit against. Alternatively split into four parts (see photos) either way this will minimise the s.
• layer height 0.2mm
• Nozzle 0.4mm
• Recommended infill 20%
• Recommended infill pattern: Gyroid
• s - yes - but minimal 5% overhang.
• Prepare and clean your bed for excellent adhesion.
• Do not print over 50mm/s. A lower speed of 40 and even 30 will always produce better results.
• Make sure your bed is correctly levelled, then check again!
• Make sure the printing and bed temperature are the right temperature for the filament you are using.
